We’re excited to officially announce a new partnership between FamilyCare Health Centers and the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department! 🎉

In just a few short months, FamilyCare will begin offering family practice services right in the heart of Charleston—expanding access to quality, compassionate care for our community.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department for their partnership, to our community leaders and the City of Charleston, WV for their support, and to our dedicated FamilyCare team for bringing this vision to life.

We look forward to opening our doors soon and serving the Charleston community with comprehensive care that leads to healthier communities. 💙

As we celebrated School-Based Health (SBH) Awareness Month in February, our SBH teams engaged their students throughout the month with a coloring contest at all locations. This allowed staff to check in with students and families, advising them of our services and how our teams can play a key role in keeping them healthy. Attached are pictures of our lucky winners at each location.

SBH teams across the country provide care of acute illnesses/chronic conditions in their settings at primary and secondary school campuses with emphasis on prevention, early intervention, and risk reduction. Our teams partner with their schools to improve the health and overall wellness of their students, families, staff, and communities, as we know that healthy kids learn better!
