Dear Faithful Patients and Friends,
I want to express my deepest gratitude to all the loyal patients who have supported Scottdale Rehabilitation over the past 20 years. It has been an incredible journey, and as I reach the finish line on Jan. 31, 2025, I can truly say that being a physical therapist to my Scottdale patients has been the greatest job I could have asked for. I will deeply miss the fun in the clinic, from the St. Patrick's Day Luau to our awesome Halloween costume parties and Christmas parties and the practical jokes and all the smiles from "yunz" guys.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the people working behind the scenes to support the clinic. First and foremost, my wife. As the saying goes, "Behind every successful man there is a greater woman helping him out." She has faithfully managed the books, helped keep the clinic stocked, and even shoveled snow when needed - and through it all, I never gave her a raise, just a heartfelt thank you!
Then, there's Tammy, - the heart and soul of the clinic. She not only cares for our patients, but also checks in on them long after they have been discharged. Whether arranging rides or simply offering kindness, she has been an invaluable part of the clinic and keeps the office running smoothly and efficiently! Rest assured, she will continue doing what she does best!
A huge thank you to Mr. B - our go to problem solver. His expertise and willingness to fix things on short notice (even on weekends) have been a true blessing. It's hard to find a great guy like that these days!
We've also been fortunate to welcome Mark, who has filled gaps we never even realized we had! His contributions are already making a difference, and I know he'll continue to "make the clinic great!"
Many thanks to Bernadine for her office support (and her amazing cookies). And to Elvira-who, despite retiring from Brilhart's, jumped in to help wherever and whenever needed (at the young age of 90!),
We've been fortunate to hire a skilled clinician in Lynn. She has been a PT for 29 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and treatment strategies.
As I step into retirement, I look forward to spending more quality time with my wife, my dad and my kids in Florida, Georgia and Oregon. It's funny how dreams do come true - to have a successful clinic, a wonderful family, and the opportunity to relax and enjoy what we've planned for in retirement. God is good!
I am confident that the new company, ESSM, will continue the high standards of patient-centered care that Scottdale Rehabilitation is known for. They are a respected organization that values our staff and the close-to-home care we provide.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone I have had the privilege of treating and knowing-both as your physical therapist and as your friend.
THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!
