Scottdale Rotary Club

Scottdale Rotary Club Meetings are held Tuesdays 12pm at Somerset Trust. The birth of the Rotary Club of Scottdale is dated December 5, 1921. Our original home was the YMCA.

Rotary is a worldwide service organization committed to local, national, and internation projects. Locally we grant scholarships to graduating Southmoreland seniors. We provide funding to the Boy Scouts of America, the YMCA, West Overton Museum, Scottdale Historical Society, Scottdale Public Library and many more. We sponsor foreign exchange students both inbound and outbound. We maintain the community bulletin board which is located on Pittsburgh St. between the two banks. For over 25 years we have internationally supported the fight to eradicate polio. Our largest fund raiser is the annual chicken bar-b-que. It is held the 3rd Saturday in July for the past eighteen years.
