After more than two decades of extraordinary leadership, we celebrate the retirement of Jane Ford, one of the longest-tenured Executive Directors in The Arbor Company.
Jane began her senior living career as an Activities Director, where her passion for enriching residents’ lives and building meaningful connections quickly stood out. She later transitioned into Sales Director, gaining a deep understanding of both the heart and business of senior living before ultimately becoming Executive Director. Twenty-one years ago, Judd Harper, President of The Arbor Company, recognized Jane’s exceptional leadership and vision, inviting her to take on the Executive Director role at The Gardens at Eastside—a decision that left a lasting legacy.
Throughout her career, Jane has been the definition of a hands-on leader. Her door was always open, her guidance always available, and her presence always felt. Whether supporting team members, advocating for residents, or solving challenges side by side with staff, Jane led with integrity, warmth, and unwavering dedication.
Anyone who walked through the doors of The Gardens at Eastside knew Jane—not just as the Executive Director, but as the welcoming face greeting everyone entering the building. Her genuine care and approachable leadership set the tone for a community built on trust and compassion.
Jane’s impact on The Gardens at Eastside and The Arbor Company is immeasurable. As she enters this well-earned retirement, we thank her for 21 years of service, leadership, and heart. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of working with her.
