Richard Jordan has been on my mind since his passing, last month. He was an important figure in the establishing of Nosara Yoga Institute back in the early days, and I will miss him dearly, (although death is just a transition), I will miss his physical presence. He was a hardworking, authentic human being. He made Nosara so much better when he opened Tica Massage. The place was always impeccably clean, his massage tables, sheets, and massage creams he used was of the highest quality and I always admired him for his high standards. His masseuses, that he trained himself, were fantastic And he gave his masseuses 50% of the massage price, which was amazing. No one does that. He brought more women out of poverty than anyone else in Nosara. His masseuses made enough money to help their entire extended families financially. He went thru a very stressful time when many of his masseuses sued him for past CAJA payments, which he found so surprising, as he had hired them as Independent Contractors, and had signed Contracts to this effect. This was a hellish period for him. I left Nosara around this time, and am not sure if he won the case or not. Life is such a mystery as to why a beautiful soul, surfing every day and providing such healing for so many people, had to experience his illness. I love you Richard and so happy you are in a better place. But I still miss you! Ride On Richard.
