Fear free visit tips for cats 🐈‍⬛

Here are some of our favorites:

🐾 Leave the carrier out for several days so they become accustom too it.

🐾 Use pheromone spray (such as feliaway travel spray) in carrier prior to loading pet.

🐾 Play calming music in the car.

🐾 Carry the pet carrier from the bottom (not handle) so pet doesn’t swing side to side.

🐾 Place carrier on elevated areas away from dogs in the clinic.

Here’s to your next fear free visit!

Why is health screening bloodwork important for you pet?

Evaluating your pet’s health and catching medical concerns before there are obvious signs of disease is the best way to prevent serious issues.

Proactive screening can increase your pet’s lifespan by allowing the veterinary team to intervene early in disease.

It evaluates many things including; kidney and liver health, as well as, blood count and thyroid function.

A blood panel is recommended annually for all pets over 8 years of age and most pets on chronic medications.

Ask your veterinarian about what blood testing is right for your pet at your next visit. 🐾

What our clients are saying…

“I bring Felix here fairly often and the service is always impeccable. Dr Sullenberger treated him this morning and he was back to eating a full can by the time we got home. Thank you to all the staff.” - Suzie O.

Dr. Sullenberger is fantastic! So happy Felix is eating again. 🐾

Did you know?

It’s Pet Dental Health Month! 🦷

Just like us, pets need regular dental care to stay healthy—clean teeth matter more than you might think.

In between professional dental cleanings, here are 3 effective ways to support your pet’s oral health:

🪥 Brush – The gold standard! Use pet-friendly toothpaste and a small nylon toothbrush.
🦴 Chews – Look for products proven to reduce tartar, like CET Dental Chews, Greenies, and Kong toys.
💦 Rinse & Wipes – Anti-plaque options like CET rinse are easy to use and well tolerated by most dogs. CET wipes and dental prescription diets can also help reduce plaque buildup.

Consistent dental care can make a huge difference in your pet’s overall health—and their fresh breath won’t hurt either.

Save this post for later and show your pet’s smile some love! 🐾

Amanda has always had a love for animals and enjoys being the friendly face that greets clients and their pets when they come through the door.

With years of experience in veterinary client care, she’s passionate about making each visit smooth and welcoming.

When she’s not working, you’ll probably find her camping or riding dirt bikes with her husband, or hanging out with her fluffy orange cat, Westley. 🏕️
