Anyone planning a mission trip in January, 2019. Please contact me by email or instant message by August 2018. Last year the trip cost an extra $600 because we booked late. If you want to wait for 2020...totally fine... We work around weddings you know.

With my utmost heart-felt thank you to the community, here is the story of my trip to Haiti. Shelby

On Monday, a patient came in to the Northwest Haiti Christian Mission for a hysterectomy. She had some complications afterward. As nurse Shelby Olson watched the woman leave the clinic

Medical Mission Trip Planning: I need everyone to email me their applications for our 2018 Haiti trip, so that the deposits can be made and we can solidify our plans. Only 3 months away! Just have to get this finalized. Some have chosen to wait until next year's trip -- and that is just fine. I will go on both of the trips so will it enjoy it twice with people I respect and can't wait to see

We only have a few months to get the paperwork, shots and packing done!! Please, let me know if you are planning on attending. I am so looking forward to getting back to this mission work.

Greetings Student Nurses on a Mission viewers and supporters! We would like to apologize for the delays in our communication; however, we have great news! As you may know, one of our leaders previously received a cancer diagnosis. She has now been given a clean bill of health and we are ready to resume the final planning for our medical mission that you have so graciously supported! We are working on gaining more information to share with you and will be updating this page as we get more concrete details. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we slowed down to support our team member through the last year!

I sent out an email and received just one response. Please text me or email any new contract information so we can communicate about the 2017-2018 medical mission trip to Haiti. Thank you

Good morning everyone. I thought I would give you all an update. I am still healing from the surgery and after it heals, I have to do four weeks of radiation. I'm going to beat this cancer and all of you have been so understanding and supportive. I have tried to get meetings scheduled but all of our schedules are so challenging that I thought I might try this type of communication. Clearly, I cannot go on this mission trip in December and Jamaica requires a leader to go with the group.
The community has helped us raise $9,260.43. That amount MUST be used in the manner they intended and we advertised. It has to go to a mission trip. Here are two options that I see:
1. We rescheduled for the end of June (Janet thought she had a place for us then and doctors in their residency are just starting out and we would have a better chance at getting a doc at that time to go with us
2. There are two mission trips a year that go out to Haiti from RWMC. Doctors organize these trips. We could use the money raised to fund individual trips. We would give an equal portion to anyone who wants to go on one of these trips.
I am so sorry for this change of events --- however I think I have almost beaten this cancer. Oh, yeah my hair is growing back (side note)
I look forward to input.....I look forward to working with you all again....I look forward to making more memories with my RWMC center family...I look forward to making more memories with kids and grandkids.....I, simply, look forward to my life --- which has taken on a whole new meaning.

Thank you for "listening" and would love input. I love you all and want to do a trip with you.

Greetings! As some of you may have heard, one of our members has recently had a health diagnosis which will require a long term treatment approach. Please know that our team still plans to complete this mission and we truly appreciate all of your support thus far!
We apologize that we have been rather quiet as of late (we have been working hard to finish school and study for boards); however, we are in the process of finalizing all our required paperwork!
We are planning to hold some additional fundraisers this summer - another glow run and a softball tournament. We are working on getting plans established for these and will update you with the information on those as soon as it is all finalized.

We thank you for your continued support and look forward to being able to share our experience with you this December!
