The Jackson County Council on Aging will host its annual Senior Expo on January 22 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Goose Pond Civic Center.

If you are on a Medicare Advantage plan and do not like your plan, your doctor has dropped your insurance or you want different benefit coverage - You can change your plan now until MARCH.

Remember, if you are on any plan that includes a food benefit, Medicare requires that your insurance company verifies that you have at least 1 chronic condition. If you are not sure that your insurance company knows of your condition - CALL THEM. If you wait there will be a delay in your food benefit. This is something that you must confirm.

AEP is over for this year! If you didnt get a chance to change plans you are able to do so January, February or March. If you did chance plans and maybe it isnt the right plan for you, you also can change it during that time.

What some changes are:
Some people had insurance drop medications, I can check your medications to make sure they are covered.

Some are seeing a doctor that will not accept a certain insurance company in the new year. I can change your insurance company to fit your lifestyle.

Some may have lost the gym membership with their plan. There are plenty other plans with the gym membership I can change for you.

There are many changes every year that come with insurance. It can be overwhelming or stressful. Thats why I dont want you do to this alone. Im here for you all year long!

Many plans have changed, some plans will be ending this year, some are not receiving a food card. Call me so I can review your plans with you.
