It is with sadness that we write that we are closing our medical office on July 30, 2020. After that date, patients may find further information on obtaining their medical records through our website at www.scottsburgfhc.org

It has been our privilege to serve this community as an independent medical practice for over 21 years. Shane will be joining the emergency department full time at Scott Memorial Health on August 1st. Tonie will be enjoying the grandchildren a bit more. We wish you good health in these perilous times.

Scott County now has Covid 19. Take a deep breath. We will get through this.

Scottsburg Family Healthcare is still open. Tonie and I will be here to take care of you.

1) If you have been in contact with a patient with coronavirus, DO NOT COME INTO THE OFFICE or the ER. Call us first. We screen calls even at night and will advise you.
2) We are seeing “healthy” people in the morning, people with fever and cough in afternoon. If you have a fever and cough, DO NOT enter the office in the morning and risk sharing this with others. Call us and we will advise.
3) We can sign you up for telemedicine through an app called Spruce. We can address questions and refills and many sick visits through this. Call the office to register.
4) Sorry, we are not accepting new patients at this time.
5) Since there is a shortage of masks, our office will be making face masks to give to our patients who come in sick. This may help to keep from spreading many viruses when you cough or sneeze. Not just coronavirus.
6) Remember social distancing, hand washing, and cleaning surfaces with bleach solution or Lysol. Absolutely vital. This is YOUR job.
7) We are so lucky to have a good team in the office. We are proud of them. We have been preparing them for weeks for this day. We are here for you. This is OUR job.
8)Don’t forget to take care of yourself physically and emotionally. Don’t panic. Think prepared. We are a community and will get through this together.
