Obesity is a very common disorder, shortening the lifespan of millions of people around the world. In the USA, 65% of the adult population is overweight. The World Health Organization (WHO) has called obesity an epidemic. This epidemic has now reached worldwide proportions, and our society faces a problem that will cause more suffering, disease, and death than any other plague over the last 300 years. Individuals who tend to gain weight around the abdomen are at higher risk than people of healthy weight for serious medical conditions such as high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, gallbladder disease, and different cancers.

We have all watched many popular diet plans come and go, but a successful diet plan needs to be easy to follow, shows rapid, measureable weight loss, and helps to lose fat, not muscle. It must be safe, and the plan must allow for long-term weight control. Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is increasingly popular as a weight-loss supplement.

Is HCG the possible key?
HCG is a glycoprotein produced naturally in the human body mostly during pregnancy, first by the embryo itself and then by the placenta (American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, 1973). In the 1950s A.T.W. Simeon, while studying calorie-deficient pregnant women and Froich’s Syndrome (also called Adiposogenital Dystrophy), claimed that both lost fat rather than lean muscle tissue if treated with low-dose HCG. He reasoned that HCG must be programming the hypothalamus in pregnant women in order to protect the developing fetus by promoting mobilization and consumption of abnormal, excessive fat stores. While practicing at the Salvador Mundi International Hospital in Rome, Italy, he recommended low-dose daily injections of HCG in combination with a customized high protein, low carbohydrate/fat, ultra-low calorie diet. The protocol resulted in the loss of fat without the loss of lean tissue. Simeon published his results, titled Pounds & Inches-A New Approach to Obesity.

Will everyone lose weight on a very low-calorie diet?
In general, a very low-calorie diet will result in low energy levels, weakness, and light headedness. Combining HCG with a very low-calorie diet helps increase energy levels and mood while simultaneously targeting fat cells and protecting lean muscle mass.

In 2003, D.A. Belluscio, M.D., published a study suggesting that formulations of HCG could be effective in promoting beneficial fat redistribution during a Very low-calorie diet. This was followed by a double blind study.

Myth: Low Testosterone Only Affects a Man's S*x Drive

The most common symptom associated with low testosterone is s*x drive but there are a number other symptoms that can affect quality of life. Low testosterone is also associated with fatigue, lack of energy, mood swings, irritability, decreased muscle mass, and an increase in body fat.

If you in the gym daily and watching your diet and struggling to get results the best starting point is to have a full blood panel taken to see where you hormone levels are at. Your hormone levels must be optimized in order to start building muscle and losing fat!

Fact: Low Testosterone Is Not Uncommon

In a study conducted in 2006 that included 2,100 men, low testosterone affected roughly 39% of men older than 45. We have seen men in their late 20’s that are experiencing low T signs. If your feeling off and are not feeling like yourself its best just to get checked out.

Low testosterone is also linked to age, obesity, and type 2 diabetes, research suggests that low testosterone will become even more prevalent as the population ages and the rates of these chronic conditions continue to rise.

Schedule a Free Consultation today with Xcellr8 Health. Our Physicians are board certified and specialize in hormone replacement therapy. They will create a therapy plan that is specific to your needs and goals.💪🏋️‍♀️🇺🇸

Myth: Low Testosterone Is a Normal Part of Aging

As you get older, your te**es naturally begin to produce less testosterone than they did when you were a teenager. But that doesn't mean you have low testosterone.

When it comes to testosterone levels, there's a wide range which is typically between 300 - 1200 ng/dL. If you're experiencing low testosterone symptoms such as loss of s*x drive, erectile dysfunction, fatigue, energy levels, increased fat, and loss of muscle mass get a blood test to determine if your testosterone level is below normal. Not everyone will need treatment but if your experiencing symptoms its best to be screened.

Fact: Low Testosterone Affects Men of All Ages

Low testosterone can develop at any age for a number of reasons, including damage to your pituitary gland or te**es. Research has also shown that obesity and type 2 diabetes are linked to low testosterone.

One-third of men with type 2 diabetes also have low testosterone. A study published in the journal Diabetes Care in 2008 found that men 18 to 35 years old with type 2 diabetes have much lower testosterone levels than those with type 1 diabetes. The researchers noted that as body mass index increases, testosterone levels decrease. So if you have type II diabetes and are experiencing symptoms its best to have your testosterone levels tested. Xcellr8 Health has various treatment options to help get your hormones levels optimized and to help you feel your best!
