The image, generally interpreted as a colorized MRI or cross-section, visually contrasts the distribution of muscle, bone, and, most notably, adipose tissue (fat).
In the 250 lb individual, the volume of fat is dramatically higher. A major concern highlighted by this visual is the excessive accumulation of visceral fat—the fat stored deep inside the torso, wrapping around major organs.
