Fat grafting was done to the cheek bone, nasolabial folds (smile lines), pre-jowl (for volume deficit between the corner of the jawline and the chin), chin and lip areas.⁠

MOMMY MAKEOVER ✨⁠

This mother of four came to us for a mommy makeover which included:⁠
- Mastopexy (breast lift) without implants to address her breast ptosis and asymmetry⁠
- Tummy tuck to address her abdominal wall laxity and diastatsis recti from pregnancy⁠
- Liposuction to the back, flanks, and abdomen⁠

For a Breast Lift and Abdominoplasty, there is a 6-week recovery. For the first 3 weeks you are taking it nice and easy - no lifting, pulling, or pushing anything over 8-10 lbs. We also give all our tummy tuck patients a compression garment that is worn for the first 4-6 weeks to keep the swelling minimal. At 3 weeks you can resume lower body activity such as a stationary bike, and at 6 weeks all restrictions are typically lifted. Full results are usually expected between 3-6 months after surgery.

STAGED IMPLANT REMOVAL WITH CAPSULECTOMY AND BREAST AUGMENTATION WITH MASTOPEXY⁠

This patient came to us with a prior history of a subglandular (over the muscle) silicone breast augmentation done by another surgeon. She had developed repeated capsular contractures and was not happy with the cosmetic appearance of her breasts.⁠
⁠
Because her implants were encapsulated recurrently and subglandular, and because she also had breast ptosis, Dr. Gawley recommended a staged approach:⁠
- First stage: implant removal and complete capsulectomy⁠
- Second stage: submuscular (over the muscle) breast augmentation, which has less chance of developing contracture, with a mastopexy (breast lift) to address her asymmetry and ptosis⁠

Her two surgeries were performed about 3 months apart to give the tissue and muscle time to heal before doing the lift and placing new implants under the muscle.

IMPLANT EXCHANGE WITH CAPSULECTOMY⁠

Age: 36
Post-op: 7 weeks (breasts could still be slightly swollen and could take 3-4 months for full results)⁠
⁠
This patient had a capsular contracture on her right side for about 14 years. It happened within the first year of her original breast augmentation, and she came to us to finally do an implant exchange. She had saline implants and they were done through the ni**le, which has a higher chance of developing capsular contracture. .jennifergeoghegan did the implant exchange through an inframammary incision (in the crease of the skin under the breast) to decrease her chances her developing another contracture.⁠
⁠
This patient mentioned she'd like to stay the same size or go slightly larger, with her main goal being for her breasts to look a little fuller on top, symmetrical, and to look and feel more natural.

Old implants: 375cc saline filled to 409cc (R) & 412cc (L)⁠
New implants: 450cc SCF (Smooth Cohesive Full Profile) Gummy Bear Silicone Implants⁠

At this point, she is fully cleared for activity, and will keep apply her Daily Power Defense serum to her scars as well as massaging them daily to help them heal. The internal stitches will fully dissolve a few months after surgery. This is her second post-op appointment, and we'll see her again at 6 month post-op for final photos.

BREAST IMPLANT REMOVAL WITH LIFT AND FAT GRAFTING ✨⁠

This patient decided she no longer wanted her implants and opted for an EnBloc Capsulectomy/Implant Removal. She wanted to heal from her first surgery and see how her natural breasts would look and how much breast tissue she had after the explant. Many times our surgeons recommend to do an implant removal in multiple steps so you have a better idea of how your natural breasts look and if anything else needs to be done to achieve the desired results.⁠

Once healed, she decided to undergo a lift with fat transfer on her right side only to get rid of some loose skin and to have more symmetry. She is very happy with her natural results.⁠

Did you know that fat grafting can be used in the ni**le to help with overall shape and symmetry?⁠
⁠
Fat transfer, or fat grafting, can add subtle volume and enhance contour and symmetry to the breasts, but can also be used in the ni**le to help with overall shape and symmetry.⁠
⁠
Recently, .jennifgeoghegan used fat grafting during an implant exchange to fill in a divot in the ar**la. The patient had had a breast augmentation through her ar**la 14 years prior (not so common anymore), and the way the scar healed caused the edge of the ar**la to pull and look indented on each side. Dr. Geoghegan released the old scar a bit to help with the pulling, and used fat from the axilla (armpit) area to reshape the ar**las so they looked smooth with her new implants. She didn't know this would be the case going into the surgery, and fat transfer can be used on the fly to make small contouring adjustments like this.⁠
⁠
Breast fat grafting can also be used in combination with breast implants or a breast lift for optimal improvements. Fat grafting to the breasts is also frequently used during breast reconstruction to restore the natural breast mound after a mastectomy for breast cancer treatment or to correct a genetic abnormality. If you are only using fat grafting for volume instead of implants, patients can usually expect around 1 cup size increase. Since fat transfer uses your own fat, it can vary from patient to patient depending on how much fat you have to use; the fat can be taken from your thighs, stomach, love handles and armpit areas.⁠

This patient had a facelift 10 years ago, but wanted to address additional signs of aging, particularly around his eyes. We performed CO2 laser around the eyes and bilateral periorbital fat transfer to restore volume and improve the contours around the eyes. GYNECOMASTIA BEFORE & AFTER⁠

Gynecomastia surgery, or Male Breast Reduction, is the removal of enlarged glandular breast tissue in men.⁠
⁠
This is usually caused by an imbalance in s*x hormones, causing breast tissue to grow. Certain medications may also trigger gynecomastia. Because glandular breast tissues are the cause for gynecomastia, losing weight will not remedy the issue.⁠
⁠
Gynecomastia surgery can be done using excision, liposuction, or a combination of both. For men with ample excess fatty tissue in their breasts, liposuction may be used alone to reduce breast size. In the case that glandular tissue is the primary cause for larger breasts, excision will be used. Excision patterns will vary depending on your individual condition. In some cases, liposuction and excision may be used together to achieve a flatter chest contour.⁠
