They can’t always say it…..so let’s play it!

Feelings are meant to be felt in order to be acknowledged or noticed and then integrated. Play is truly a child at work!

When children are engaging in a game of “the floor is lava” they also are gaining an experience of the emotion FEAR through play. How to notice fear. How to conquer fear. How to muster up some courage and bravery. Maybe working as a team to find some solution or maybe experiencing doom and hopelessness that there is no way to get around the lava.

Play provides a safe space to experience a RANGE OF EMOTIONS. Not just cognitively but fully embodied. A bottom up approach. ✨
