On today’s we’re disucssing ‘What is Neuropathy’?

Neuropathy is a condition that affects the nerves, leading to a deadening or diminishing of nerve endings, most commonly in the hands and feet. This can cause tingling, numbness, burning sensations, or even pain, making everyday activities more challenging.

There are many potential causes of neuropathy, including: diabetes (one of the most common causes), poor circulation, autoimmune disorders, nerve trauma or injury, certain medications or chemotherapy, and more.

Common symptoms include numbness or tingling in the hands and feet, burning or sharp, shooting pain, sensitivity to touch, and muscle weakness or difficulty with coordination.

If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, don’t ignore them—early intervention is key!

How it works 👇

On your first visit, pain-relieving therapy may be given. Chiropractic manipulation is generally done on your second visit, to allow Dr. Leisa to review your findings and design your custom course of care.

On your second visit, recommendations will be given based on your age, physical condition, lifestyle, unique health problem, and goals.

Oftentimes, the primary course of treatment will be Cox Technic manipulation or “adjustments” to return individual vertebrae to their proper position and motion.

Additional procedures and/or supplements may be used to reduce inflammation, provide pain relief, and enhance healing. These procedures include ice, electro-muscle stimulation, acupuncture, ultrasound, and rehabilitative stretching & strengthening exercises.
