On Wednesday, November 29th, a week after the Thanksgiving holiday, Great Wall Chinese Medicine Scottsdale hosted the "5 Elements Health Program" Earth Energy event from 5-7 pm. Centered around the Spleen and Stomach meridians and organs, this event resonated positively with all who participated.
With Arizona's weather taking a cooler turn, Master Linda gracefully steered the Tai Chi session indoors, donning her elegant blue uniform. Despite her retirement, she attended and generously shared her wisdom with fellow participants. Dr. Xiao holds Master Linda in high regard, recognizing her 20 years of experience and her embodiment of ancient Chinese martial arts. Demonstrating the art of harnessing Qi energy, Master Linda recommended participants download the 24th Tai Chi from YouTube for continued practice.
After the Tai Chi activity, all participants transitioned to the QiGong practice of Ba Duan Jin. Because of some technical difficulties, we decided to omit the presentation segment and start with the 5 sounds therapy and breathing exercises. Doctor Xiao led the 5 sound therapy, emphasizing the Xu Xu Xu practice for those who missed the wood energy session. Breathing exercises targeting the spleen and stomach meridians synchronized with the melodic "Whoo Whoo Whoo..." sounds to create a serene atmosphere.
This holistic approach provided participants with a deeper understanding of traditional Chinese medicine health care, allowing them to experience firsthand the benefits of Acupuncture and self-healing. The event facilitated a harmonious balance of mind and body, resulting in a truly pleasurable experience for all in attendance.
A regular participant, Lesly, brought her mother Shorn, who was visiting from out of state, both expressed their delight in the evening's activities. Eric's last-minute call inquiring about his friend Emily's attendance added an element of excitement. Despite initial apprehension about Acupuncture, Emily found solace and enjoyment in the Tai Chi and meditation sessions.
The energy-conscious couple, David and Je’re, attended together, seizing the opportunity to reconnect with like-minded individuals after distancing themselves from social groups post-Covid. They commended Dr. Xiao's initiative in crafting a program that not only benefits patients but also fosters new connections.
We are thrilled to share these transformative experiences with you! Your participation in these life-altering events is highly encouraged. The 5 Elements Health Series unfolds every Wednesday and Saturday leading up to the new year, with upcoming events slated for December 6, 9, 13, and 16.
In alignment with the Elements law encompassing wood, fire, earth, metal, and water, Dr. Xiao tailors activities and educational materials each week. The tangible results from the energy training of the 5 Elements underscore the program's efficacy in enhancing overall health and balance for participants. Targeting various organs and meridians, the program aids in regulating emotions, including anger, depression, anxiety, worry, sadness, panic, and more.
We extend a warm invitation for you to join us for five consecutive weeks of activities, providing a unique opportunity to embrace a fresh perspective on physical and mental health, and to cultivate a harmonious sense of well-being.
