They are referencing a recent article in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology surmising that “Periodontitis was significantly associated with a higher risk of complications from COVID-19, including ICU admission, need for assisted ventilation and death, and increased blood levels of markers linked worse COVID-19 outcome such as D-dimer, WBC and CRP.”

🦷 To our dental family of patients

We hope you and your family well and are practicing the habits necessary to stay healthy during the pandemic. Fun fact about Dr. Blythe- If you know him you may know he loves volleyball! He loves playing, watching and coaching! He has even been fortunate enough to play in several local senior Olympic tournaments and his team (The Relics) earned a bronze for 50 year olds at the National Senior Games in Albuquerque NM this last year. This year he is planning on playing again at the Open Nationals in St Paul Minnesota in April!
