Pelvic Pain Is Real — And You’re Not Alone

Pelvic pain can show up in ways that are often dismissed or misunderstood. It might feel like:

🔹 Pressure or heaviness
🔹 Sharp or aching pain
🔹 Pain with sitting, intimacy, or using the bathroom
🔹 Cramps that linger outside your cycle

➡️ These sensations can be caused by tight or overactive pelvic floor muscles, nerve sensitivity, past injuries, or even stress patterns in the body.

💡 The good news? There’s help. Pelvic floor physical therapy can calm the nervous system, release muscle tension, and help you move without fear.

You deserve answers and support.
✨ Healing is possible — and we’re here for it.

Leaking urine (aka stress incontinence) is super common but not normal and it is usually a muscle issue. The good news is it is very treatable with pelvic floor physical therapy.

Wait… too tight? Yep!
Pelvic floor muscles can be overactive too — and that can cause pain, constipation, painful s*x, or that “can’t fully pee” feeling.

Let’s Talk About the Pelvic Floor!”
Did you know your pelvic floor is like a little hammock of muscles supporting your bladder, uterus, and bowel? 🩷

When it’s working well, you probably don’t even notice it. But when it’s not, you might experience leaks, low back pain, or even pressure “down there.” The good news? These symptoms are super common and super treatable!

✨ Your pelvic floor deserves just as much love as the rest of your body.

Meet Erika, a dedicated Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist!

Ever wonder what inspired someone to specialize in pelvic floor physical therapy? For Erika, it was a course in PT school that opened her eyes to the wide range of conditions affecting pelvic health. As the fourth child out of six, she realized her mom and many others lacked knowledge about these issues. Driven to educate her family and others, she passionately embraced this specialty. During her PT rotation, she found immense joy in treating postpartum pelvic and orthopedic patients, solidifying her career path.

One of the most rewarding parts of Erika’s job is witnessing her patients regain their daily lifestyles without concerns. From enjoying intimacy without pain to attending classes without leakage and sitting comfortably on long trips, every success story fuels her passion. She creates a safe space where people can regain confidence, independence, and pain management.

A common misconception about pelvic floor health? Thinking Kegels are the only answer! Erika educates her patients on exercises that improve pelvic floor strength and mobility, stressing that not everyone needs to do Kegels.

Balancing self-care with a demanding profession can be challenging, but Erika emphasizes the importance of filling herself up to provide the best care. Her faith journey with Christ plays a significant role in her self-care routine. She also strives to be an informative and welcoming provider, shaped by her personal experiences with healthcare.

Erika’s dedication to her patients and her journey to becoming a pelvic floor physical therapist are truly inspiring. She is a beacon of support and knowledge for those navigating pelvic health issues.

Discover cupping therapy and its amazing benefits! Cupping involves creating negative pressure to draw fluid to targeted areas, promoting healing and relieving discomfort.

Here's why you should consider adding cupping to your wellness routine:

Improve Blood Flow: Cupping enhances circulation, delivering vital nutrients and oxygen to tissues while removing toxins.

Reduce Inflammation: Cupping helps reduce inflammation and promote tissue repair by stimulating lymphatic drainage.

Boost Cellular Immunity: The suction created by cupping stimulates the immune system, supporting overall health and well-being.

Decreases Muscle and Fascial Tension: Cupping lifts the skin, fascia, and muscle apart, causing decompression and increasing space for tissue mobility by reducing tension, pain, and tenderness in the affected muscles.

Increase Range of Motion: Cupping therapy enhances flexibility and mobility by breaking up scar tissue and adhesions, while also boosting blood flow for immediate vasodilation, promoting muscle elongation and improved motion.

Contact our office for more information on cupping or other treatment options to help reduce or eliminate pelvic floor pain. You don't have to suffer anymore!
