💉Levocarnitine (AKA L-Carnitine) helps the body turn fat into energy!

💉It works by moving fatty acids into our cell's mitochondria where the process of fat metabolism begins.

💉You can have L-Carnitine shots alone, or mixed with B-12 and/or MIC for an even greater boost.

💉L-Carnitine shots are given intramuscularly (into the gluteal or deltoid muscle) to be slowly absorbed by the body.

💉Injections are generally better absorbed compared to oral supplements.

MIC stands for Methionine, Inositol, and Choline. These 3 amino acids are powerful nutrients; the benefits of B12 + MIC injections may include:
💉Energy
💉Liver support
💉Breakdown of stored fats
💉Hormone balancing

B12 + MIC shots are given intramuscularly (into the gluteal or deltoid muscle -- quick and usually painless!) to be slowly absorbed by the body.

Injections are generally better absorbed compared to oral supplements.

Quality counts! prefers methylcobalamin or hydroxocobalamin (more bioavailable forms of B12), compared to cyanocobalamin.

PRP Micropen Facial for a beautiful client this morning. PRP (platelet rich plasma) increases collagen and elastin in the skin, decreases fine lines, fades scars, treats acne, and gives a little ✨glow✨ just in time for Valentine's day. 💘 PRP is harvested from the client's own blood (just a quick in-office blood draw) and added to hyaluronic acid serum, glutathione, and vitamin C, then microneedled deep into the skin. Dr. Liz has bèen told she has the best numbing cream around😉 for minimal discomfort.

joint injections supply a boost of therapeutic PRP, Ozone, and anti-inflamatory Prolotherapy solutions directly to the impacted area of the body. Prolozone therapy promotes repair of damaged tissue, increased oxygenation, and better cellular membrane function. Unlike steroid injections, it does not degrade joint tissue but rather promotes regeneration while decreasing pain.

Common uses for Prolozone include:

Osteoarthritis

Knee pain

Back and neck pain

Plantar fasciitis

Hallux rigidis

Joint pain

Rotator cuff partial tears

Bursitis

What are trigger points and are trigger point injections right for you?

Trigger points (AKA knots) are spasms, tension, and inflammation within skeletal muscles. Trigger points are triggered by muscle fiber trauma that can occur during overuse in sports training, from injuries, and simply from the stressors of daily life. You can often feel dense physical nodules or bundles of muscle fibers, and pain radiates from the trigger point when pressure is applied.

Common areas are associated with trigger points/ muscle tension are the rhomboids, trapezius muscles (upper back and behind the shoulder area), and paraspinal muscles (the muscles that run alongside the spine). Trigger points in these area cause neck and shoulder pain and stiffness, back pain, and headaches.

Trigger point injections can be used to target these specific areas (and other areas as well), to release and relax the muscle fibers, thus alleviating or eliminating muscle pain. This is achieved by injecting the site with a combination of magnesium, B12, lidocaine and other anti-inflammatories. It is a quick in-office procedure that requires no down-time.

If you or a loved one would like to know more about trigger point injections or have any questions about natural and non-surgical pain management, please don’t hesitate to make an appointment with me. Free 15 minute consultations are available to see if we’re a good fit to help you achieve your health goals.
