If you were to look at a snapshot of social media, you would think you’d have to pack up your in-person business to immediately switch online

It’s nauseating

More times than I can count when I meet someone that wants to do in-person training

It’s because they can’t find a coach that doesn’t want to do it on Zoom or through a PDF

We are doing a disservice to people

There is immense value in being someone clients can rely on day, and day out

The 1.5 Rule changed how I think about pricing and it should change yours too

For every hour you train someone, you're spending roughly 1.5 hours on everything that surrounds it.

A 25-session training week is closer to a 40-hour work week

When you price based on the hour you're in the gym, you're ignoring everything that makes that hour worth paying for.

You're not selling time
You're selling outcomes

Price your work that way!

Where you get your training certification doesn’t matter as much as you think it does

That’s the starting line, not the finish line

That gets you a ticket into the dance

From there, it’s up to you to mold your path with the education, experience, and emphasis you tack on

I love chest supported options but…

When clients or people don’t have the right setup, damn it can be challenging

I love using an open trap bar

But if you feel like an inch work fighting for your life during these lifts

Make sure your setup is ideal first

The WORST Landmine Sleeve feature EVER

A screw?!

Easy way to ruin a barbell and teach poor Landmine Training form at the same time 🤦‍♂️

The relationship between a coach and a client isn’t built in a weight room

It’s built in the moments when someone decides to show up and say, “I don’t know what I’m doing”

That takes guts

Trust is a valuable currency in this industry

As a coach, the bare minimum you owe that person is your honesty, your full presence, and your genuine commitment to their progress

Better Landmine Starting Position - Use a bench or step

Particularly with Squatting and Pressing, it can tough to constantly clean the weight from ground to shoulders

Using a bench will elevate the starting position to conserve your energy for the movement, not the setup

I want my daughter to tell the other kids how strong her dad is

No Belt Squat?

I’ve always used the Landmine as a substitute

Similar movement profile without spending big on a belt squat that takes up a big footprint

I traditionally stick with the J-Squat but enjoy the Landmine Belt Squat

You just need two 12” steps, which most gyms have and can be used for a multitude of other exercises

Don’t let the algo OVERCOMPLICATE the uncomplicated

You can be a Personal Trainer, make an incredible impact in the lives of your clients, and that is complete fine as is
