Look, I’m not burying manual therapy. I do it. I use it on my clients. It works.

It works for what it actually does, which is buy you a window. A few hours of less pain and a little more motion. That’s the offer.

The window only matters if you do something with it. Move into the range you couldn’t access before. Load the position you’ve been protecting for years. Build strength where your nervous system has been guarding.

Most people take the relief and go right back to the same 4 lifts and the same 11-hour workday. Then they’re back on the table next Tuesday wondering why nothing’s changing.

Adjustments are not the enemy. Treating them like the answer is.

Spent the last 12 years working with shooting athletes and tactical operators whose entire job is producing force with their arms in fully extended positions.

Bow at full draw. Rifle held overhead clearing a room. Pistol punched out at full extension under fatigue.

If their shoulders break down, the career breaks down with it.

So we train differently. We don’t just train the bicep with curls and rows. We train it through the full range it actually has to function in. Hangs. Loaded extension work. End range positions under tension. Built up over months.

Almost none of this work shows up in a normal training program. Not because it’s complicated. Because nobody outside of the populations that absolutely need it has ever been taught to look there.

Which is why the same straight arm work that keeps a 35 year old archer pain free is also the missing piece for a 47 year old founder whose shoulder has been quietly bugging him since 2018.

The body doesn’t care what you do for a living. It cares what positions you’ve built capacity in.

Manual therapy is a tool. It's not a solution. And it's definitely not a substitute for strength, capacity, and better movement behavior.

Pain relief and correction are not the same thing.

If you get adjusted every week, feel better for 48 hours, then go back to moving the same way you've been moving for the last decade, you didn't fix anything. You bought a window of relief. The underlying issue is still there, waiting for you next week.

The window matters only if you use it. Use it to move differently. Use it to build strength where you've been weak. Use it to teach the nervous system that your body is actually capable.

Took me a long time to figure out why my best work happened with the Olympic teams and not in my own clinic.

In the clinic, I had 45 minutes with someone, then they walked out the door and I had no idea what their week looked like. What they ate. How they slept. What their trainer was making them do. Whether the chiro down the road was undoing what we just built. I was working on a 5% slice of someone’s life and pretending it was a strategy.

With the Olympic teams, I had everything. Bloodwork. Sleep data. Travel schedule. Training load. I sat in rooms with the nutritionist, the S&C coach, the team doc. Nobody was guessing. Everyone was working off the same plan.

When I sold my clinic in 2024, this is what I built instead. The same model the world’s best athletes get. For a small number of high performers who are tired of paying 5 different people to manage 5 different pieces of the same body.

The thing nobody tells you about working with Olympic teams is how much of the work happens before anyone’s hurt.

The trainer, the strength coach, the team doc, the nutritionist, the psychologist all sit in rooms together. They look at sleep data, training load, travel schedule, lab markers, mood, recovery scores. They flag the patterns weeks before the body says anything.

By the time something starts to feel “off,” there’s already a plan.

Compare that to the way most high performers experience their own body. Something starts to hurt. They Google a specialist. They wait 3 weeks for an appointment. The specialist looks at one piece. They get sent home with a recommendation that doesn’t account for the rest of their life.

The athletes don’t bounce back faster because they’re tougher.

They bounce back faster because someone caught it before it was a bounce-back conversation.

Our session focused on a foundational—but often overlooked—piece of the performance puzzle: how movement quality starts from the ground up.⁣ 👣

We took a deep dive into injury risk reduction and movement optimization through the lens of:⁣

✅ Foot and ankle mechanics for better knee, hip, and low back function⁣
✅ Wrist and hand positioning for improved elbow, shoulder, and upper back movement⁣
✅ Joint positional control to improve force transfer, efficiency, and movement economy⁣
