One year. Twelve months. 365 chances to say ‘I choose me.’ Today, we celebrate our clients who’ve claimed their power and rebuilt their lives through sobriety. 💥 This is what strength looks like. This is what recovery can become. If you’re wondering if you can do it too, you can. And we’ll walk with you every step of the way.

🎙️ During the Partners in Treatment conference, we recorded a Struggle and Strive micropodcast with Thomas Mcray Jr., founder of Thrive Mental and the visionary behind Clarina, an AI-powered therapy tool.

After losing both of his parents just eight days apart, Thomas saw firsthand how broken access to care could be. That experience sparked a mission to make therapy more affordable and available—especially for people in transition, in remote areas, or without insurance.

Clarina offers talk therapy support via phone for just $19.99/month—filling the gap when care feels out of reach.

Thomas’s story is proof that purpose can grow from pain—and that innovation can create real healing.

🎤 We had the honor of recording a Struggle and Strive micropodcast clip with Chris King from Calvary Healing Center during the Partners in Treatment Conference.

Calvary has been serving the Phoenix community for over 60 years, offering a peaceful and spiritual setting for those beginning their recovery journey. As CEO, Chris brings both clinical experience and a heart for leadership—working to create a culture where staff feel empowered and clients feel truly seen.

In our conversation, Chris shared that his “why” comes down to one simple but powerful thing: hope. For him, helping people reclaim their lives means helping them rediscover the hope they may have lost—and making sure they’re supported every step of the way.

We’re so grateful to Chris for the humility, vision, and care you bring to this work. The impact you’re making reaches far beyond what’s visible.

🎤 We had the chance to sit down with Mordy Gottlieb of The Game Changer Group during the Partners in Treatment conference for a Struggle and Strive micropodcast.

Mordy is a licensed clinical social worker and CSAT based in Scottsdale, AZ, specializing in helping middle-aged men navigate shame, relationship struggles, OCD, and s*x addiction. With a deep belief in the healing power of humor, honesty, and accountability, Mordy brings heart and clarity to the hardest conversations.

His work is a powerful reminder that even high-functioning, successful people can be hurting—and that recovery means getting real, not going it alone.

Every year on July 10, we recognize Panic Attack Awareness Day—a time to open up the conversation about panic attacks and how they affect real lives.

If you’ve been through one, you know how frightening it can feel.

You’re not alone, and there are real ways to feel better.

This day is about sharing knowledge, showing compassion, and reminding each other that help is within reach.

Whether you’ve faced panic yourself or you’re trying to help someone who has, learning more about it is a great place to start.

🎙️ We had the chance to connect with Michael Oakes of A Mission for Michael and Mission Prep during the Partners in Treatment Conference for a Struggle and Strive micropodcast.

Michael’s been on both sides of this work—first as someone in recovery, and now as a professional helping families navigate some of the hardest chapters of their lives.

The way he shows up for others makes it clear: this work is personal.

Starting therapy can be overwhelming, especially if it’s your first time. It’s completely okay to feel this way and only natural to feel a bit nervous or unsure about what’s to come. Many people feel the same way about their first therapy sessions, and you’re definitely not alone. With the right support, things can start to feel more manageable.

That’s why we’ve put together this guide: to help calm your nerves and offer clear, kind information about what to expect and how to prepare for your first therapy session. Taking that first step can feel scary, but it’s also a powerful act of self-care and courage. With just a little preparation and the right mindset, your first session can be the start of something truly healing.

They didn’t just survive, they rose. 💪 One year sober, and stronger than ever. Today, we honor the courage it takes to face yourself, do the work, and keep showing up — even when it’s hard. To our alumni: You are living proof that recovery is power. And to those still on the fence, your breakthrough could be one decision away. 🔥 "
