Our Story

Advanced Dentistry is home to Dr. Brittany McLaughlin DMD and Dental Hygienist Muneeza Khan RDH These two accredited individuals bring to our practice a wealth of experience and a compassionate outlook on their work.

Dr. Brittany McLaughlin is a Scottsdale native, but grew up in Arkansas where she attended college. After finishing dental school at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, She practiced in Arkansas for four years before returning home to Arizona in 2012. She believes, it is incredibly important to educate patients about their dental needs so they can be actively involved in their treatment decisions. It’s very rewarding to help alleviate fears and create beautiful smiles.

Dental Hygienist Muneeza Khan,

Muneeza is a laser-certified dental hygienist and has worked in the valley for 15 years. She obtained her degree in Washington State as a periodontal and restorative hygienist and received several awards throughout her training period. Prior to this profession, she had received a bachelor’s in English Literature and Mathematics.

“I’m passionate about the overall health and well-being of all my patients and love to utilize state-of-the-art equipment, such as digital X-Rays, VELscope, laser, intra-oral photographs etc, to provide the best dental care in the most comfortable environment. Your preventative care is my priority. Period!”

Muneeza spends time teaching her patients about prevention of gum disease, tooth decay, diagnoses and the maintenance of their oral health. Additionally, She is also involved in smoking cessation and informs her patients of the adverse affects of smoking on oral and general health.

“Winning my patients’ trust along with that of their colleagues, family and friends is paramount to me”.

Aside from working at Advanced Dentistry and other clinics in the valley, Muneeza Khan has dedicated several years of international dental hygiene volunteer experience. She has worked in villages, orphanages and communities in developing countries where she trained dental office personnel and dental students about preventative care and how to incorporate dental hygiene in their daily regimen. She has also authored dental protocols to be implemented as part of a community outreach program.

In 2014, Muneeza was honored to have won the Health Care Heroes award by Phoenix Business Journal for my endeavors as a dental hygienist.

I love my three adult children and my Havanese dog, Shona, who is also our office’s mascot, and love cooking and baking for all my family and friends. I am lucky to have learned several languages and love getting to know different cultures across the globe.

At Advanced Dentistry, we care for our global community through contributions to global dental relief efforts. These various organizations provide education to underprivileged youth worldwide. Early education in oral health maintenance is an imperative health intervention service for these children, because some may never have access to these tools otherwise. Our practice is an all-inclusive space and welcomes people of all backgrounds.
