Most chronic diseases that effect our health span and quality of life start 20-30 years before symptoms appear.

Prioritizing healthy lifestyle steps along the way - in effort to prevent diseases - is a lot easier than trying to reverse diseases once we develop symptoms.

✅ Eating a balanced whole food diet with minimal ultra processed foods.
✅ Moderate exercise including cardio and weight/resistance training.
✅ 7-8 hours of quality sleep.
✅ Stress management.
✅ Hormone replacement and appropriate supplements.
✅ 20-30 minutes of sunlight
✅ Supporting our drainage and detoxification systems.
…..are some areas to invest in to prevent cardiovascular, neurological and metabolic diseases in the future.

As our estradiol levels decrease through perimenopause and menopause our cardiovascular, metabolic and neurological diseases increase.

By properly replacing estradiol with bioidentical estradiol (and balancing with progesterone) we decrease our risk factors for:

✅ Heart disease
✅ Metabolic diseases
✅ Neurological diseases (Alzheimer’s and dementia)
✅ Osteoporosis
✅ UTI’s
✅ Breast cancer
✅ Colorectal cancer
….and our quality of life increases!

When replacing estradiol you want to aim for a blood level between 75-100 pg/ml.

A common thought is that estradiol only needs to be balanced with progesterone in a women with a uterus. However, progesterone has many benefits in addition to protecting the uterus. Bio identical progesterone works synergistically with estradiol and can also help with sleep, overall mental well-being and anxiety. Aim for a progesterone blood level of 10-20 ng/ml.

This is a bold yet accurate statement. Sugar, including bread, pasta and processed carbohydrates fuels inflammation and EVERY chronic disease.

Most chronic diseases that affect our quality of life as we age start in our bodies 20-30 years before symptoms develop. By minimizing - if not eliminating - sugar and processed carbohydrates from your diet you can significantly decrease your risks for diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer’s/dementia and cancer.

A great place to start is reading labels. It is mind blowing to see how “sugar” is disguised as so many other names such as; dextrose, sucrose, corn syrup, tapioca syrup, rice syrup, agave, fruit juice concentrate etc.

Aim for 80/20 rule. If you eliminate sugar 80-90% of the time, the other 20-10% you will be fine.

•Intermittent fasting (at least 12-14 hours from last meal at night to first meal during the day.
•Focus on meals vs. snacking.
✅ Detoxification
•Proper bowel movements daily.
•Sweating
•Support lymphatic drainage.

•Increase activity.
•Focus on building and maintaining muscle mass
•Incorporate stretching
✅ Hormone Optimization
