In lower eyelid surgery, tension matters.

Here I’m demonstrating the skin pinch test, which helps determine how much lower eyelid skin can safely be removed without creating excessive tension.

If too much skin is taken, it can increase the risk of lower lid retraction — where the eyelid is pulled downward. By applying gentle downward pressure to counteract gravity and performing a conservative pinch technique, we can achieve a smoother result while maintaining natural eyelid position.
