I don’t believe in cutting corners in anything in life, especially when it comes to Facelift Surgery. This wonderful patient saw me because she was unhappy with how heavy her face and neck felt to her only a few years after she had received a more limited “Jowl Lift” from another surgeon.⁣
⁣
More limited techniques like SMAS facelift or “mini-facelift” rely on pulling the jowls upwards, but these areas are not really “released” and “lifted”. surgery completely releases these heavy jowls and deep structures to give a long-lasting, dramatic and natural result. ⁣

I don’t usually post reviews, but I love this one for many reasons! First, it demonstrates the time and research that so many rhinoplasty patients put into their search for their surgeon. “How will I know what my nose will look like?”⁣
⁣
Years ago, patients and plastic surgeons would look through patient gallery books to try to determine what shape the patient was looking for. In truth, it’s not very useful to look at other people’s noses because rhinoplasty is all about balance. A beautiful rhinoplasty result isn’t only because the nose shape is attractive, but mostly because the nose perfectly balances with the other facial features. Most of the time, even if the surgeon could magically take a nose off of a models face and place it on a patient, it wouldn’t be ideal because the rest of the face is different.⁣
⁣
The best modern way to plan surgical rhinoplasty is to perform patient photo simulations. This is meant to serve as a clear way to make sure that patient and surgeon are on the page as far as goals. It doesn’t do anyone any good if a skilled rhinoplasty surgeon performs what they consider to be a great rhinoplasty, but the results stylistically are not what the patient envisioned.⁣
⁣
Of course, it’s up to the surgeon to know what they are capable of and only show results that are predictably achievable and natural. ⁣
⁣
