PCOS just got a new name - and it's long overdue. 💜

PCOS → PMOS
Polycystic O***y Syndrome → Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome

Here's why it matters 👇

❌ The old name suggested it was just about ovarian cysts.
✅ The new name reflects what it actually is: a hormonal + metabolic condition affecting the whole body.

This change took 14 years, 22,000 people, and 56 medical + patient organizations to make happen.

It's more than a name. It's a shift in how millions of people will be seen, diagnosed, and treated. 🙌
