When the kitchari spices fall to the pan like a work of art to say thanks for doing the 7 day detox 🥹

Day 5 lunch!

My favorite meal of the detox.

Barley with split mung, spices, parsnip, cauliflower, and parsley. I had never had barley or parsnip before Ayurveda but they have turned into some of my favorites!

Yay! It’s the second annual group Pause & Restore week!

Time to slow down and let our bodies focus on rebalancing digestion.

Both lunch and dinner today is Kitchari with fresh herbs. I made mine extra soupy for the added hydration and I think I like it even more this way!

Daily gratitude: I finally have a patio and can eat outside 🤗

Kitchari: Basmati rice, split mung bean, warming digestive spices, and fresh herbs.

There’s definitely magic in doing the uncomfortable things.

During week two of the detox, I asked everyone to take themselves on a date and stretch beyond what feels safe.

In week three, we begin decreasing caffeine, so I took myself to a busy coffee shop for my last coffee for a while. I ordered their specialty, journaled in public, and practiced my morning affirmations.

It felt awkward and vulnerable.
Yet somehow, incredibly expansive.

So, do the weird things and free yourself from that fear. Even if it’s something super small!

Why is consistency so hard? Well, that’ll happen when we’re not grounded. When we’re always in a rush to the next thing or get frustrated at commitment. In reality, we ALL need consistency to properly function at our best.

Consistency has always been the biggest struggle for me, especially when it comes to a routine.

PREPPING IS A MUST HAVE.

It is so important we find even the smallest ways to commit to a morning routine to ensure we set ourselves up for a successful day ahead. This is commitment to yourself.

Part of night routine is to prep for my morning routine:

Oil shot glass (oil pulling)
Breakfast foods set out to cook fresh
Spices & ghee ready to go
Spice Tea steeps overnight

All I do in the morning is turn oven and stove on.

So simple. Start today.

It’s a warm day here in Scottsdale today at 79 and sunny. I’m a tad sunburnt now so to adjust my internal temperature I went for the light quinoa bowl with zucchini, bokchoy, a legume and with some light spicing. Still keepin it freshly cooked and served warm.

Yum.

I promised myself that when I moved to Arizona, I would act on what excites me without letting fear get in the way. So I spontaneously bought tickets to an event I thought I’d never get the chance to see.

I’ve been listening to Abraham Hicks now for 3 years, and got the opportunity today to be in the same room with them live at their workshop here in Phoenix.

This was an experience of a lifetime.

All I can say right now is, never ever let fear stand in your way of doing something that you know without a doubt will bring you joy.

Do the things!
