A 2012–2013 Stanford University School of Medicine study published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology found that Sciton BroadBand Light (BBL) treatments can rejuvenate aged human skin at a molecular level. The research demonstrated that BBL changes the expression of over 1,000 genes in skin cells to more closely resemble the gene expression patterns of much younger skin.
