Let's talk about the 'Fed is Best' mantra 💬

While it emphasizes the importance of nutrition (a basic necessity), it often overlooks the emotional journey of moms who were hopeful to breastfeed.

For many, it's not just about feeding—it's about bonding, health benefits, and so much more.

When we reduce their complex experience to a simple nutrition statement, we risk dismissing the grief and challenges some moms face.

Slogans and phrases don’t support moms.

💞 Compassion, understanding, help, presence, and community are what actually support moms.

For these reasons, ‘Breast Is Best’ is also problematic and dismissive.

Instead of creating a new phrase or slogan, let’s talk about our feelings and experiences of feeding our babies…
