Brain-based posture correction with holistic chiropractic. 🧠

This is such an awesome before and after showing how chiropractic changes the way your brain perceives your body in space. The before picture (left) shows a body that is very forward. This causes the lower back to overly arch backwards creating compression in the lower back - thus resulting in chronic back issues. It also represents a nervous system that is constantly being driven forward carrying a tendency towards stress and anxiety.
The after picture (right) shows huge improvement in overall posture and represents a body and nervous system that is more grounded and balanced.

Dr. J has been 🔑 in keeping our family healthy and thriving for the last year. At 2 years old Rebel pretty much says / yells “NO” to anything and everything, but she LOVES Dr. J and getting adjusted! With little to no involvement or bribing 😂 from or myself she gets onto the adjustment table face down and allows the healing ✨ to happen. The best part is hearing her big sigh / release at the end, like all is well again with the world.

During pregnancy and the birth process the pelvis (and whole body) go through so many changes. It’s important to get adjusted postpartum to assist the body in the realignment process.

What baby doesn’t like tummy time?
Well actually…quite a few! And here’s why.:
Lifting of the head and turning left and right relies 100% on optimal spinal function. This is responsible for proper neuromuscular connection.

Misalignments in the spine called subluxations interfere with brain-body connection making it harder for a baby to lift up the head and turn left and right. This can be extremely frustrating and may cause crying and irritability.

The best way to tell if a new born has a misalignment is to notice if head turning is equal on both sides. Notice if baby prefers to sleep with head turned in the same direction every time.

We love getting pics of babies after their adjustments! 💤 Why do most babies fall asleep after their adjustment?

• Adjusting babies up regulates, or stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system also called the “rest & digest” pathway. This part of the nervous system is responsible for slowing the body down so it can perform basic physiological needs such as tissue repair, tissue maintenance, and digestion.

• Any misalignment in the spine, called a subluxation, can cause a stress response driven by the sympathetic nervous system also called the “fight or flight” pathway. This part of the nervous system stimulates overall physiology as a protective mechanism and prepares the body to either fight or flee. The main point here is that the body thinks it’s under threat and all normal physiological functions such as digestion and tissue repair become compromised.

Our main goal with pediatric chiropractic is to increase the body’s natural expression of life, health and wellness. Removing the barriers to the body’s innate healing process gives little ones the greatest potential for growth and development.
