When we rush toward the answer, we often rush past the body. We override the body with the logic of the mind, tightening into certainty and narrowing would could be into what must be.

But when we hold the question, we invite curiosity, intuition and sensations that arise from our own inner knowing.

We’ve been taught to push, to override, to suppress symptoms from the top down, as if effort and forcing creates true health. But in truth, healing comes from being in relationship.

Your body is not a machine to be hacked. Your body is an organized field of intelligence. She is designed to feel, to adapt, to respond. To speak to you through sensation.

This is what we call interoception; your body’s way of listening to herself. This is how we sense our posture, our breath, our heart beat, the areas that ache and the ones that go numb.

The work is in developing your capacity to listen. To feel the subtle cues your body offers before they become symptoms. To translate sensation into meaning. To notice when your breath shortens, or your chest tightens. The more you listen, the more fluent you become in your own healing.

This is the relationship we’re meant to cultivate, the one with your body. Imagine if your body no longer has to scream to be heard, because you’re already there, listening. That’s a deep, honoring relationship, and one we should work on everyday. 🙏🏼
