September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month, and we’re celebrating the incredible campers who joined us for our Hematology Session this summer! 🧡

This year’s theme, Adventure Awaits, reminded us that every child deserves a chance to explore, discover, and grow—no matter their diagnosis. At CCK, kids with sickle cell disease find a place where they can just be kids, make new friends, and create memories that last a lifetime.

Our friends at M&L Electrical, Inc. inspired and helped make the 6th Annual Clay Shoot Tournament at The Nashville Gun Club our *best one yet*!

This Tuesday, we had the chance to celebrate with their team and share the incredible impact — thanks to their leadership and the support of so many shooters, sponsors, and partners, we raised an amazing $101,876 for our campers! 🎯

Join us in celebrating Josephine Posey, our 2025 Volunteer of the Summer! 💚

Josephine dedicated an incredible 562 hours this summer, serving at 5 independent camps and bringing her energy, passion, and heart to Green Lodge—where she worked with our youngest boys. Her enthusiasm and steady presence were pivotal in making sure Green Lodge thrived!

A student at Lindsey Wilson University and part of the Bonner Scholar program, Josephine chose to complete her summer of service with CCK, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Josephine, thank you for sharing your time, talent, and love with our campers. You’ve left a lasting impact this summer, and we’re so proud to honor you as our **Volunteer of the Summer!** 💫
