💙 “Stitched with love, made to hold something special.”

When words aren’t enough, little acts of care can make a big difference. Our Hospice Volunteer team is offering these memory bears — crafted from a loved one’s clothing — to families navigating grief. From handing down a favorite shirt to creating a tangible hug in bear form, it’s a simple yet powerful tribute.

Why this matters:
🔹 The bears are made by volunteers, using clothing that carries a memory, a scent, a story.
🔹 The program gives families something to hold, helping to bridge the gap between loss and remembrance.
🔹 It’s also a call for volunteers who sew — there’s a two-month wait because demand is high.

If you’re part of a grief-support or volunteer-driven community:
• Share this story with others who may benefit or want to volunteer
• Consider how meaningful keepsakes like this can comfort those you support

Volunteers at Allied Services sew stuffed bears and pillows using clothes belonging to people who died in hospice to give to the deceased’s family members and friends in Northeast Pennsylvania.

🎃👻 Trunk or Treat Fun at Allied Services Terrace! 👻🎃

Residents, families, staff, and community friends joined in on a spook-tacular afternoon of Halloween fun! From creative trunk decorations to adorable costumes (and even a dino-dog 🦖🐾), everyone enjoyed sweet treats, laughter, and smiles all around.
