💚 Happy National Nurses Week! 💙

This year’s theme, “The Power of Nurses,” perfectly reflects the compassion, resilience, and dedication that nurses bring to every patient, every family, and every moment of care. 🙌

The power of nurses is found in healing hands, comforting words, clinical expertise, and the ability to make a difference in someone’s life each and every day. From our rehab hospitals and transitional units to home health and community care, our nurses are at the heart of what we do.

To all of our incredible nurses at Allied Services — thank you for your strength, your commitment, and the extraordinary care you provide. Your impact reaches far beyond medicine, and we are proud to celebrate you this week and always. 🫶

🌱🌼 Spring is in full bloom at our Vocational Service Workshop! 🌼🌱

We were thrilled to welcome volunteers from Scranton Tomorrow, who brought along a wonderful assortment of spring and summer plants to kick off this month’s gardening activity.

Together, participants worked on transplanting seedlings into six-packs, where they’ll be carefully nurtured until they’re ready to be moved to large flower pots in Scranton’s downtown Courthouse Square. We’re excited to play a part in the continued beautification of our community! 🌸

In addition, several plants were placed around our Adult Training Facility outdoor space, adding color and life to the environment for everyone to enjoy. 🌷🙌

A big thank you to Scranton Tomorrow's Master Gardeners team for their support and partnership—we can’t wait to see everything in full bloom! 🌿💚

On Friday, April 24th we welcomed children and their parents to our Mini Grief retreat for families. The families learned what to expect when children grieve, how to cope with emotions, and how to process grief. Stories, music, drumming, and yoga were used to lead the families through the evening. 🧡

If you'd like to get on the email list for the next sessions, please contact Cheryl Mozdian at 570-341-4320 or cmozdi@allied-services.org
