🚧 Important Office Access Update 🚧

Due to the recent fire on Main Avenue, the roads in front of our building and around the building are currently blocked.

***The only way to reach our office at this time is by taking Decker Court, which is the alley located behind the Walgreens on the corner of Luzerne and Main Avenue.

Please allow a few extra minutes for travel and use caution while navigating the detour.
If you have difficulty finding us or need assistance, don’t hesitate to call the office 570-904-7363 or reach out to your therapist directly using their phone number.

Our Hawley office had lots of spooky Halloween fun handing out candy and enjoying all the costumes! Happy Halloween everyone!! 🎃🍁💀

We had so much fun with our Toy Story theme and handing out candy on Halloween during the Halloween on Main Ave Scranton event! Although it was windy and cold and sometimes raining, there was a great turnout! We loved everyone’s costumes!! Can’t wait for next year!! 🎃👻🍁

Moments of wonder await—on a walk, in the yard, or right outside your door.

Here is a brief list of activities you can do in nature. These can be done while out on a nature walk in the woods, playing in the yard, or walking in your neighborhood.

- Take photographs on a walk—focus on themes like calming, inspiring, wonder, or miracles. Draw or paint what you see.
- Use items in nature as paint, crushing berries or mud as paint.
- Create images or quotes with sidewalk chalk, or draw in mud or sand with a stick.
- Collect sticks, stones, leaves, petals—assemble into a sculpture or mandala (perfect for Fall!).
- Get unstuck, find a “sit spot” in a park or yard-visit weekly to notice changes.
- Write about nature, engage more than just your sight.
- Let every feeling guide your poetry.

🍁Welcome to the Fall Season!🍁

The signs of Fall have started to show.

Leaves are beginning to turn brilliant shades of yellow, orange, and red.

Squirrels and chipmunks are busy gathering acorns, nuts, seeds, and berries.

Change is beautiful.. but it can also feel scary and uncertain. 😧

Mother Nature reminds us that change is a cycle as each season transitions into the next.

🌳Take time to reflect on the natural world:

🍂Trees lose their leaves in the Fall to conserve water and energy during the cold winter months. What are some things that you can let go of to conserve your own energy?

🐿️Think like a squirrel or chipmunk. What practices or routines have you developed over the spring and summer seasons that can help to sustain you through the winter?

But when do we need to show gratitude? And how can it create positivity in our lives? 🤔

When to show it:

When we’re upset with someone
At random times as a reminder to be present
When negativity creeps in

How it helps:

Enhance relationships
Improves physical health
Increases resilence
Promotes a positive mindset

We all want to feel valued, heard, and seen. 🙌 By showing gratitude, we remind people of their humanity. Even though there are countless reasons to focus on the negative, we choose positivity. 🌿💛
