Moments of wonder await—on a walk, in the yard, or right outside your door.

Here is a brief list of activities you can do in nature. These can be done while out on a nature walk in the woods, playing in the yard, or walking in your neighborhood.

- Take photographs on a walk—focus on themes like calming, inspiring, wonder, or miracles. Draw or paint what you see.
- Use items in nature as paint, crushing berries or mud as paint.
- Create images or quotes with sidewalk chalk, or draw in mud or sand with a stick.
- Collect sticks, stones, leaves, petals—assemble into a sculpture or mandala (perfect for Fall!).
- Get unstuck, find a “sit spot” in a park or yard-visit weekly to notice changes.
- Write about nature, engage more than just your sight.
- Let every feeling guide your poetry.

The signs of Fall have started to show.

Leaves are beginning to turn brilliant shades of yellow, orange, and red.

Squirrels and chipmunks are busy gathering acorns, nuts, seeds, and berries.

Change is beautiful.. but it can also feel scary and uncertain. 😧

Mother Nature reminds us that change is a cycle as each season transitions into the next.

🌳Take time to reflect on the natural world:

🍂Trees lose their leaves in the Fall to conserve water and energy during the cold winter months. What are some things that you can let go of to conserve your own energy?

When to show it:

When we’re upset with someone
At random times as a reminder to be present
When negativity creeps in

How it helps:

Enhance relationships
Improves physical health
Increases resilence
Promotes a positive mindset

Our therapists provide individual, family, couple, & group counseling sessions for all ages and are highly trained in multiple areas. We believe it is important to create a therapeutic environment where you feel safe and comfortable to explore and find a solution for the concerns that brought you to therapy. We accept most major insurances.
