We are so grateful to Charlene Paoluci, a master of social work degree candidate at Marywood University, for choosing UCP of NEPA's Assistive Technology Resource Center as the beneficiary of her community impact project! 🎉

Through her incredible dedication, Charlene organized a re-use drive to collect durable medical equipment. From gathering donations to delivering and even helping unload them, she truly went above and beyond every step of the way!

Thanks to her hard work, these items will now be distributed FREE OF CHARGE to individuals and families throughout our community—making a meaningful difference in so many lives.

Charlene, we are so grateful for your compassion, commitment, and generosity. THANK YOU for turning your vision into action and for helping others in such a powerful way! 💙

🌎💙💚 Happy Earth Day! 💚💙🌎

Today, our Adult Day Program celebrated by getting creative with a sensory-friendly, mess-free craft! Participants had a wonderful time combining blue and green paint on paper plates—safely sealed inside large zip bags—to create their very own versions of the Earth.

It was a fun, hands-on way to explore creativity while keeping things clean and accessible for everyone. We love finding new ways to celebrate our planet together! 🌱✨

Today is Family Friday, and UCP of NEPA is proud to celebrate the important role families play in every child’s growth and success! 👨‍👩‍👦💙

Pictured is DJ with his mom, Mariah. Together with UCP of NEPA’s Special Needs Instructor, Katrina Roughsedge, they created a homemade picture bucket game to help encourage DJ to label more pictures—while Mariah models and supports his learning every step of the way.

Mariah shared how much she appreciates the guidance in finding toys and activities that motivate DJ to build his vocabulary and support his overall development. Since beginning services, DJ has made incredible progress in his communication skills!

At UCP of NEPA, we know families are key to a child’s success. Through Early Intervention and Lekotek, we strive to help families feel confident, supported, and empowered to help their child thrive.

In celebration of the Week of the Young Child® (WOYC), UCP of NEPA is proud to recognize Work Together Wednesday! 🤝

Today, we’re highlighting Amelia and her incredible journey. Born extremely premature at just 27 weeks due to severe IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), Amelia measured only 12 inches long and weighed a delicate 1 lb. 7.5 oz.

Today, she is happy, healthy, and has made truly remarkable progress—thanks in part to the early intervention services provided by UCP of NEPA’s Children’s Service Center. 💙

Amelia’s mom, Tabitha, shares:
“Jennifer and I have worked together to build Amelia’s independence from the very beginning. From her being able to sit upright, to crawl, walk, and now climb, Jennifer has given me the tools and skills to encourage and assist Amelia each ‘step’ of the way.”

A heartfelt thank you to Tabitha for sharing Amelia’s story and to our dedicated team members like physical therapist Jennifer Malak, who make progress like this possible every day.

For more information about UCP of NEPA’s early intervention and children’s services, please contact Cheryl Burger, Director of Children’s Services, at 570-587-5892 or childrensservices@ucpenpa.org .
