Welcome to Steamtown Hot Yoga & Barre Studio where we create wellness through community and community through wellness. As of August 23, 2024, our new location is located at 1315 Meylert Avenue Building 30 Scranton, Pa 18509 in the beautiful Lace Village. What's New at Lace Village?

✅Beautiful and Accessible Location: Our new studio is situated in the heart of the Lace Village, easily accessible and surrounded by delightful local amenities. Founded in 2007 by Lara Alexiou, Steamtown Hot Yoga and Barre offers traditional Hot Yoga, Barre, Meditations, Pilates, Yin Yoga, Wellness Workshops, Advanced Trainings, Wellness Retreats, and Yoga Training Certifications. All of our regularly scheduled Yoga, Barre, and Pilates classes are practiced in a heated room. We welcome all levels into our classes and no prior experience is needed to find success at our studio. Come in ready to sweat, have fun, try something new, and meet new friends! As of November 1, 2022, the torch of ownership has been passed down to one of our long time students and dedicated teachers, Christine Baron. Christine has been an integral member of SHY’s family since 2009 with a dedicated practice, extensive SHY teacher trainings, countless workshops, advanced trainings, and international yoga retreats. Christine fell in love with our practice here at SHY and knew she had found her passion that first day she stepped into our community back in 2009. She is a Registered Nurse and has dedicated her life to helping others find health and wellness through yoga, meditation, and a holistic approach to self-care. She is committed to the community and legacy at Steamtown Hot Yoga and Barre and is determined to lead SHY into the future at our new Lace Village Location🧘🏻‍♀️

☀️We hope everyone is warm and cozy…..warmer days are on their way….☀️

✅Monday 9am class is cancelled.

🙋🏻‍♀️Our plan is to open for our 5:30 pm Hot 60 and 7pm Barkan Vinyasa classes on Monday evening.

🔥2026 is off to a great start at the studio. So many new faces, returing students, and of course, our OG’s filling up our daily classes.

❤️February is just around the corner and as you can see, there are some schedule changes for the first week of February. We are excited to host Jimmy Barkan at the studio for a Barkan Teacher Training. This exclusive training starts Wednesday February 4 and commences on Saturday February 7, 2026. You will see several classes on our schedule during that time led by Jimmy . Space is limited and class registration opens up one week before the class day. You do not want to miss this once in a lifetime experience to attend a class led by Jimmy Barkan.

😍We have added a weekly Hot Mat Pilates on Thursdays @ 9am with Gretchen starting February 12.

❤️Our special Valentine’s Day Besties at the Barre is Saturday February 14, 2026 @ 11am. Olivia and Shelby have a great class planned for everyone. Registration opens up one week prior to class.

💚Our first ever event at Lace @ Epicuren was a huge success. 75 beautiful ladies joined us and the day was absolutely perfect. If you missed this event, don’t worry....our next one is open for early-bird registration. This time, Tara and Gretchen will guide us through a signature blend of pilates & barre in a fun low impact class designed for everyone. This series will help you lean and tone your muscles to design a sculpted body, improve posture, and deepen the mind/body connection.

Brunch, deliciously curated by Epicurean at Lace, will follow our class. .venue.epicurean

🙋🏻‍♀️Four of our beautiful instructors all hold a birthday within one week of eachother…. They represent the zodiac sign of Capricorn….. representing ambition, discipline, responsibility, and a focus on long-term goals, grounded in the Earth element….making Capricorns practical and hardworking leaders with strong self-control, though sometimes perceived as serious or stubborn.

Each one of these ladies has a unique method of leading our students here at the studio. Make sure to wish them a happy birthday next time you see them.
