Welcome to Steamtown Hot Yoga & Barre Studio where we create wellness through community and community through wellness. As of August 23, 2024, our new location is located at 1315 Meylert Avenue Building 30 Scranton, Pa 18509 in the beautiful Lace Village. What's New at Lace Village?

✅Beautiful and Accessible Location: Our new studio is situated in the heart of the Lace Village, easily accessible and surrounded by delightful local amenities. Founded in 2007 by Lara Alexiou, Steamtown Hot Yoga and Barre offers traditional Hot Yoga, Barre, Meditations, Pilates, Yin Yoga, Wellness Workshops, Advanced Trainings, Wellness Retreats, and Yoga Training Certifications. All of our regularly scheduled Yoga, Barre, and Pilates classes are practiced in a heated room. We welcome all levels into our classes and no prior experience is needed to find success at our studio. Come in ready to sweat, have fun, try something new, and meet new friends! As of November 1, 2022, the torch of ownership has been passed down to one of our long time students and dedicated teachers, Christine Baron. Christine has been an integral member of SHY’s family since 2009 with a dedicated practice, extensive SHY teacher trainings, countless workshops, advanced trainings, and international yoga retreats. Christine fell in love with our practice here at SHY and knew she had found her passion that first day she stepped into our community back in 2009. She is a Registered Nurse and has dedicated her life to helping others find health and wellness through yoga, meditation, and a holistic approach to self-care. She is committed to the community and legacy at Steamtown Hot Yoga and Barre and is determined to lead SHY into the future at our new Lace Village Location🧘🏻‍♀️

🧘‍♀️Steamtown Hot Yoga invites you to join us at our first ever Pilates, Prosecco and Brunch event at the Lace Venue by Epicurean. This event will be held in the beautiful event space at the Lace Venue.

Our 2 hour event includes an hour of mat pilates guided by Christine and Gretchen, followed by brunch deliciously curated by Epicurean at Lace and a glass of Prosecco. Cash bar available.

Since 1986, Jimmy Barkan has helped thousands of people improve their hot yoga teaching methods, which in turn, has helped even more students have beneficial and positive experiences through the Barkan method. Our studio owner, Christine Baron, has completed several training with Jimmy Barkan, the most recent in May of 2025 in Costa Rica, where she received her 500 hour YTT with Jimmy.

Join us Thanksgiving day and Black Friday for special classes to help you burn off those holiday meals.

Our Black Friday open house is from 12 noon-3pm.

Some classes are already full and waitlisted...please remember to sign yourself out of class if unable to attend...cancellation policy is in effect.
