Founded in 2007 by Lara Alexiou, Steamtown Hot Yoga and Barre offers traditional Hot Yoga, Barre, Meditations, Pilates, Yin Yoga, Wellness Workshops, Advanced Trainings, Wellness Retreats, and Yoga Training Certifications. All of our regularly scheduled Yoga, Barre, and Pilates classes are practiced in a heated room. We welcome all levels into our classes and no prior experience is needed to find success at our studio. Come in ready to sweat, have fun, try something new, and meet new friends! As of November 1, 2022, the torch of ownership has been passed down to one of our long time students and dedicated teachers, Christine Baron. Christine has been an integral member of SHY’s family since 2009 with a dedicated practice, extensive SHY teacher trainings, countless workshops, advanced trainings, and international yoga retreats. Christine fell in love with our practice here at SHY and knew she had found her passion that first day she stepped into our community back in 2009. She is a Registered Nurse and has dedicated her life to helping others find health and wellness through yoga, meditation, and a holistic approach to self-care. She is committed to the community and legacy at Steamtown Hot Yoga and Barre and is determined to lead SHY into the future at our new Lace Village Location🧘🏻‍♀️

🧘🏻‍♀️Promotes concentration and calmness, balancing staff strengthens our muscles and builds our coordination and balance, improving our ways of standing and walking as well as how we perform many other everyday activities.

Plus….it challenges the cardiovascular system and is know to be the 10 second marathon for your heart❤️

🤩Good luck to all of the runners this Sunday as they tackle the Scranton 1/2 Marathon.

💞A special shout out to 2 of our amazing instructors Jules and Lynne. We are so proud of the 2 of you....go get em!

🚨Reminder that our class schedule is adjusted Sunday due to the race. No 8:30am Sunday class. We start our Sunday with 10am Super 60 with Bill followed by Barre Fusion at 11:30 with Olivia.

🚨We end the day with a perfect class for all of our race finishers….Candlelit Yin with Audrey at 6pm.

❤️One thing about our studio….people come from all over the area to experience us. It’s not just the heat….but we do have the best heating system in NEPA😉. Its the students, the instructors, and our vibe….nothing else compares.

➡️➡️Ed and Beth travel about 30 minutes to and from our studio at least 3 times a week to practice our Hot 60 sequence. They are consistent and bring much joy to our community. Last night the 2 of them celebrated over 100 classes each with LeeAnn during our 7pm class.

🤩Welcome April🤩……….

🌸Maybe January was never meant to be the beginning.

🌸Maybe the year starts slowly on purpose-a quiet stretch, a deep inhale, the soft ache of waking up.

🌻Maybe February was shaking off, and March
was the gathering of strength, a slow return to ourselves.

💚❤️💚And maybe April is when it really begins.
When the light lingers, when our hearts beat louder, when we are truly ready to start again.

❤️Not because we should, but because we’re finally warm enough to want to.
