DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME - As we spring forward today, March 8, many of us find ourselves feeling the effects of losing that one hour of sleep. Here is an all-natural way to counter those effects (as well as ease jet-lag symptoms, give you energy, or any time you feel out of sorts).

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping) is also called Psychological Acupuncture. By tapping the K-27, this helps to give you energy (much like where King Kong and Tarzan tap/pound for strength and energy). Crossing the hands over one another while tapping resets the biological clock in the brain (i.e., helps the right side of the brain connect with the left side of the body and vice versa). This is called a Homolateral Crossover in Energy Medicine.

Energy Medicine involves balancing the subtle energy of the body to bring about inner balance through circulation and relaxation. Energy consists of anything that moves or flows inside the body - i.e., blood, lymph, nerve impulses, heart rhythm, emotions, etc.

HOW TO:

* Place fingertips on K-27 points and tap hard enough that your fingertips bounce off K-27 points.

* Close your eyes and relax your mind. Tap as you take 3 to 5 slow deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.

* Now cross your hands over one another (where the left fingertips are touching the right K-27 point and vice-versa). This is the Homolateral Crossover.

* Tap as you take 3 to 5 slow deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth

Repeat as often as you like or until symptoms disappear.

For women, heart disease is often over looked or misdiagnosed. Women rarely have the same dramatic symptoms that men have like the cold sweats, sudden stabbing pain in the chest and pain down the left arm. Some hallmarks for women to be aware of are extreme fatigue, shortness of breath, irregular heart beat, profuse sweating for no reason, a very bad case of indigestion, spasms along the spine with pressure under the breast bone with constriction leading up the throat and pain radiating into the jaws. If you find yourself in this situation, call 911 immediately, unlock your door so the paramedics can come in and place both pinky fingers in your mouth as you clamp down on each side of the nail with your teeth. The Heart Meridian ends on the inside of the little finger (HT 9) and its partner meridian Small Intestine begins on the outside of the little finger (SI 1). By applying pressure, this Energy Medicine technique could save your life.

Get Grounded for Better Health
