1. It’s physically demanding — Long days on your feet, leaning over treatment tables, and always on alert to provide the most gentle, precise care. Not to mention the daily cleaning, laundry, charting, and prepping between clients.
2, You wear all the hats — I’m an acupuncturist… but also the front desk, the office manager, the therapist, the educator, and the calm in every storm.
3. People project onto your wellness — Clients often assume your energy, skin, posture, and even mood are reflections of your own health practices. But we’re human too—some days are just off.
4. It’s not “just needles” — Acupuncture is a powerful combination of traditional wisdom, modern science, intuition, anatomy, energetic sensitivity, and deep compassion. Every session is layered healing.
5. The learning never stops — Getting your license is just the beginning. You’re always studying—new protocols, case studies, herbal formulas, nervous system support, and more.
This path is not easy—but it is so worth it.
Helping others heal is one of the greatest honors. 🤍✨
