We had a fantastic time in our Evergreen neighborhood creating our own lava lamps! Our residents enjoyed a hands on experience, using food coloring, vegetable oil, water, and Alka-Seltzer to create mesmerizing bubbly effects.

We also explored the fascinating history of lava lamps, discussing their invention and their popularity in home decor. Many residents fondly remembered having lava lamps in their homes and shared stories about their favorite colors and designs.

While we didn’t officially label it a science experiment, this activity brought in a wonderful blend of creativity and learning, sparking nostalgia and conversation among our residents.

Today, we had the pleasure of hosting a fantastic marketing event for our valued referral partners! Our guests enjoyed a beautiful charcuterie board, delectable shrimp cocktails, and a variety of sweet treats, along with sparkling champagne, refreshing mocktails, and our signature spa water.

A heartfelt thank you to our Executive Director Tami, our Marketing Directors Dennis and Dorothy, our incredible culinary team, including Chef Specialist Rogelio and Chef Daniel, and our Activity Director Jennifer. We deeply appreciate everyone who contributed to making this event such a success!

Today, our Evergreen residents welcomed New Year’s Eve with a meaningful Message in a Bottle activity. Each resident took time to write a heartfelt note to themselves words of hope, encouragement, and dreams for the year ahead sealed away to be opened next New Year’s Eve.

They also enjoyed decorating their bottles, making each one as unique and special as the message inside. It was a beautiful moment of reflection, creativity, and looking forward with optimism.

As we say goodbye to this year, we are grateful for the memories shared and excited for what the new year will bring.

Our Assisted Living and Evergreen residents came together for a meaningful Hanukkah observance focused on learning, reflection, and connection. The celebration featured a resident led discussion on the significance of Hanukkah, along with the sharing of traditional songs and cherished customs passed down through generations. Residents also created and decorated dreidels, learned the meaning behind each symbol, and enjoyed a traditional dreidel game with chocolate treats shared all around.

Today our residents dove into holiday crafts, making the most adorable snowman sock buddies stuffed with rice, cotton, and a sprinkle of essential oils for cozy aromatherapy. With tiny hats, jingle bells, scarves, and all the festive finishing touches, each snowman turned out uniquely precious!

And of course… what’s crafting without a little music?
We sang “Jingle Bells” and “Frosty the Snowman” as we created, filling the room with laughter, joy, and the magic of the season.
