Assisted Living and Evergreen, celebrated the incredible women in our community with a colorful flower art activity in honor of International Women’s Day. Residents created beautiful floral designs using water sealed in Ziploc bags, gently pressing and arranging the petals to create their own unique works of art.

The room was filled with creativity, laughter, and wonderful conversation as we reflected on the many women who have shaped our lives and continue to inspire us every day. Even some of our male residents joined in the fun, helping celebrate the strength, creativity, and kindness that the women in our community bring to each day.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the amazing women who make our community so special. 💐

Oh, the fun we had for Dr. Seuss Day

Residents from Assisted Living and Evergreen came together to celebrate the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss.

We reread favorite Seuss classics, shared lots of laughter over the silly rhymes, and enjoyed a wonderful time of storytelling together.

Creativity soared during our art session. Residents traced beloved Seuss characters with crayon and then used watercolor to bring them to life on paper. Each piece was bursting with color and personality.

We also crafted scrapbook style portrait pages with resident photos, Seuss inspired backgrounds, and colorful yarn stitched through for extra texture. Each creation was unique, just like our residents.

This week, we’re excited to highlight Madisen, one of our wonderful caregivers who has been with the team for four months!

We asked Madisen a few questions so everyone could get to know her a little better:

What’s your role here, and how long have you been with the team?
“I am a caregiver and I’ve been with the company for 4 months.”

What’s your favorite part of your job?
“Giving back.”

And that heart for giving back truly shines through in the compassionate care she provides each day.

What’s something people might not know about you either personally or professionally?
“I enjoy playing the guitar and piano.”

What do you like to do outside of work?
“I like to spend time with my family enjoying the outdoors.”

Any favorite quotes or words of wisdom you live by?
“Simple: Treat others how you would like to be treated.”

Our Evergreen residents took a sensory dive into creativity by painting beautiful jellyfish with brushes, sponges, and watercolors! They blew gently through straws, guiding the paint into delicate, flowing tentacles, while each brushstroke and sponge dab added color and texture. The result was a calming, vibrant experience art and ocean magic combined!

Laissez les bon temps rouler. Today is Fat Tuesday, and we brought the Mardi Gras spirit to life. At both Evergreen and Assisted Living, our residents got creative with Mardi Gras mask decorating, and it was a blast. We also hid Mardi Gras necklaces around the community for residents to find our fun twist on winning beads. Plus, our chef treated us to a delicious banana foster demo that had everyone excited. Happy Presidents’ Day from all of us at Ivy Park at Seal Beach! Today we honored past leaders by taking a creative journey back in time. Our residents explored the art of writing with feather quills. They didn’t just practice a historical craft they wrote heartfelt messages and shared them with one another. It was a day full of creativity, personal connection, and a touch of history. Wishing everyone a thoughtful and inspiring Presidents’ Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at Ivy Park at Seal Beach! Today was pure magic our residents gathered for a heartwarming Valentine’s lunch, and then the evening blossomed into a creative Paint & Sip! With beautiful table décor and residents raising their glasses before the class, it was a day full of love and inspiration. We’re so thankful for this wonderful community! Tag your favorite moments and keep the love flowing! ❤️

It all began in the hallway when Philip told Mary, “I want to marry you.” At first, Mary wasn’t sure, but soon they discovered a warm, thoughtful companionship. They fill their days with community activities, live entertainment, and sharing popcorn.

A special moment came when Alexander, one of our amazing team members who serves in the dining room, painted them. He took the time to truly know their story and captured it with deep insight. Seeing their painting displayed here, and knowing Alexander’s humble talent, was truly inspiring. We’re so proud to have him on our team.

As Mary says, “At the end of the day, that’s what we all want to be loved and to share love. It doesn’t matter when it happens.”

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, we gave our family appreciation event a special twist with a 50s themed sock hop paint and sip where residents created heart shaped record paintings. We set out records and a record player so everyone could pick a favorite song to paint along to, making the experience personal and full of meaning. The diner décor and music set the perfect mood.

A huge thank you to all the families who joined us, our art instructor Artsy 101, Activities Director Jennifer, Memory Care Director Irene, our volunteer, and our care staff for making the day so memorable and special.

This Super Bowl Sunday was truly special. Our watch party was a celebration Bad Bunny dazzled us at halftime (even if some were discovering him for the first time), and his surprise celebrity guests were a delight. Paired with a gourmet spread vibrant fruit, crisp veggies, wings, a nacho bar, and expertly chilled beer every moment was a masterpiece. What a day to remember!

We had a magical birthday celebration in our Evergreen neighborhood today our residents, joined by live entertainment, sang a beautiful Happy Birthday together. With her festive hat, balloons, and a special sundae, the joy in the air was unmistakable. Their musical spirit made the day truly unforgettable!
