National Physical Therapy Month: Featuring Wyatt, PTA
🛠️ Favorite exercise or machine:
“Hard to say. I really don’t have a favorite. Each piece of equipment is unique, and it’s our job to creatively use it to achieve different purposes.”
🏁 Favorite part of helping patients:
Wyatt loves witnessing transformation:
“Everyone wants to get to the finish line, but the journey to get there is what you’ll talk about in the end.”
🍫 Favorite post-workout snack:
Reese’s Cups!! Heck yeah!!
(P.S. – the pumpkin ones have 5g of protein each 😄)
🌍 Why he became a PTA:
“I wanted to make a difference in the world by getting people back on their feet… and force people to hear my terrible stand-up routine. This accomplishes both.”
🧠 What he wishes more people knew about PT:
“Even though what we do is tough and sometimes painful, the majority of the time you will feel better than when you walked in.”
💬 Advice to new PT patients:
“Just do your best — we are here to meet you where you are, not the other way around.”
🎮 Fun fact about Wyatt:
Last October, Wyatt customized a video game controller for a child with missing digits. The result? That child could finally beat his brother in a game — and Wyatt found a new calling. His story made the front page of the Brenham Banner Press and led to opportunities working with special needs students in Sealy and Bellville.
“I have no idea what God has in store for me next, and I’ve learned that I don’t need to. I’m just excited He’s taking me along on this ride.”
