I don’t like to gatekeep, so here’s one of my secrets…

I bet you didn’t think you could eat a breakfast like this and still reach your fat loss goals, did you? Well, you can. How do I know? Because I did.

Allow me to explain. ⬇️

I consider my breakfast the most important meal of the day; therefore, I always ensure it’s satiating and has a great balance of protein, healthy carbohydrates, and healthy fats. Here’s why:

🍽 PROTEIN: Protein takes longer to digest, helping you feel full longer and stabilizing blood sugar levels to avoid energy crashes. This can prevent mid-morning hunger and overeating later.
🍽 CARBS: Carbohydrates are the body’s preferred fuel, especially for the brain and muscles. Complex carbs provide a steady release of glucose for sustained energy without rapid blood sugar spikes.
🍽 HEALTHY FATS: Fats are calorie-dense and slow to digest, providing sustained energy and helping you stay full.
Combining these macronutrients stabilizes blood sugar, sustains energy, and supports your overall health! Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, friends. Choosing a macro-balanced meal for breakfast is also known to help you make better choices throughout the day! 👏

🚨Spoiler alert: You won’t outthink them – action is the fix! 💪

Hey, I’m an overthinker turned-doer, and I’ve learned the hard way: no amount of brain-battling beats sugar cravings. Science says they’re wired into us—stress, blood sugar dips, and dopamine hits keep that cycle spinning. 🔄 But here’s how to reset it with real moves instead of grueling mind games ⬇️�
👉 Eat more protein and fiber. Studies show 20-30g of protein – like eggs, chicken, or lean beef – plus fiber-rich veggies like broccoli, steady blood sugar and cut cravings fast.�
👉 Move your body. Research from PLOS One found a 15-minute brisk walk drops sugar urges by shifting focus and spiking endorphins. No dumbbells? No excuses. Step outside and take a quick walk.�
👉 Improve your sleep hygiene. It’s non-negotiable. A 2018 study in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition linked poor sleep (under 7 hours) to 20% more sugar cravings via hormone chaos. To reduce sugar cravings, hit the pillow, not the pantry. �
👉 Hydrate like it’s your job. Dehydration mimics hunger - science says 8-10 cups of water daily keeps you clear-headed and less snack-obsessed. �
👉 Rewire dopamine. Sugar lights up your brain’s reward system, so swap it for another dopaminergic activity like dancing, finishing a project, or calling a friend. Small actions can retrain your craving triggers! You have to do something different if you want something different! 💯

Action is sometimes messy and uncomfortable, but it beats overthinking every time. One step - eat, move, sleep, and hydrate - can help when it comes to reducing sugar cravings.

“Busy” isn’t the problem…

It’s the excuse. 🎤

I know it’s a hard truth to hear, but that doesn’t make it any less true.

We’re all busy. Some more than others. Full-time working mommas with kiddos, I see you. 🫶

But here’s the deal. We make time for what we prioritize. I’m almost certain that if you’d take inventory of how you’re spending your time, you’d realize that your priorities lay elsewhere.

➡️Have you overbooked your calendar with kids’ activities, leaving no time for yourself?
➡️Are you binging on Netflix in the evenings, leaving you hitting snooze for an hour every morning?
➡️How long are you scrolling social media every day?

Even if you can’t prioritize meal planning, cooking at home, and 30-minute workouts, the truth is that you CAN prioritize something. An “all-or-nothing” mindset will prevent you from moving forward at all.

I encourage you to take inventory of where you’re spending your time and ask yourself, “What can I give up for 10-15 minutes per day and replace with a walk, a quick workout, or a little meal prepping?”

Busy people can be successful. In fact, the most successful people I know are the busiest. It’s okay to prioritize YOURSELF for at least a few minutes each day. It’s not just okay - it’s necessary. 💯

Remember, being busy isn’t the problem, friend. It’s the excuse.

I can’t believe I believed that…⬇️

I spent way too many years believing the answer to my fat loss goals could be found in countless hours of cardio, crash diets, and eating as little as possible🤦‍♀️

Looking back, it’s really no wonder I couldn’t ever get it right – because my approach was ALL WRONG. 💯

In fact, I got a lot of things wrong. Here are a few of them: 👇

🚫 I thought I had to undereat to lose weight. Friend, this is the #1 mistake you can make when trying to burn fat and keep it off.

Sure, a slight deficit is mandatory; however, when you drastically undereat, your metabolism slows down and eventually stops burning fat. This means that if you want to continue losing weight, you have to slash calories AGAIN.

Common sense tells us that’s not sustainable. The way you lose weight should be similar to how you’re going to maintain it.
🚫 I thought I could build the body I wanted by spending hours on the treadmill. What I know now is that strength training and building muscle is actually what helps my body burn fat and change my body composition.

🚫 I thought I could be successful if I just had the motivation. Oh, friend. This is another grave mistake. Motivation rarely comes first. Discipline (doing it when you don’t feel like it) is what builds motivation.

These are just a few of the common beliefs most people get suckered into for most of their adult lives. Fortunately, they’re wrong – and there’s a better way!

Once you learn the “why” behind what you’re doing, it all starts making sense. In my coaching program, I teach HOW to reach your goals and WHY what you believed all those years was just plain incorrect…

So if you are not happy or satisfied with the life you’re living, remember you have the power to change it.

Don’t let where you are or what you have going on be an excuse for staying in the same place.
Instead … make an effort to do it differently.

You are always only ONE decision away from a completely different life, so what’s it going to be?
An excuse … or a little bit of effort?

Showing up in some way is better than not showing up at all. 💯
Listen, friend. Nobody does it perfectly. Nobody.
Even the most successful people you know have imperfect days. They have days they didn’t or couldn’t give 100%. What made them successful wasn’t a perfect journey, but rather the fact that when they didn’t have much to give, they GAVE WHAT THEY COULD.
👉 Don’t have the time or the energy for a 30-minute workout? Do a 15-minute workout or take a 20-minute walk around your neighborhood.
👉 Forced to run through the drive-thru? Choose the healthiest option you can!
👉 Don’t have time to clean your entire house? Choose one room to focus on.
👉 Don’t like to drink water? Can you start with one glass per day?

Even if it isn’t your best, showing up in some way still moves you forward. ➡️
Conversely, not showing up at all doesn’t.
