Exercise can feel so complicated some days, especially if you're trying to figure out the next right thing to do. One of the hardest things is discerning between good pain and bad pain. A good workout can feel great while pushing muscular strength, but bad pain can keep you from the next good workout! So frustrating

But it doesn't have to always be that way. There are things that you can do to work against that pain and get you back on your feet.

Whatever your sport, physical therapy and preventative work can play a significant factor in your performance and longevity. Joint mobility and prioritizing recovery are just two ways that athletes can support overall well-being.

1. Research movements to support your joint mobility
2. Ask your school athletic trainer how you can incorporate physical therapy movements into your practices and training

That's just three examples of how the mind can affect physical performance in sports. In the everyday world, mental health plays a key role in overall wellness. For our first Wednesday Series, here are 5 steps to showing up for your mental well-being today.
