This Thanksgiving, our hearts are full.

We are so thankful for the incredible children and families who walk through our doors each day. Your strength, determination, and trust inspire us more than you know.

We’re grateful for our therapists who pour their passion into every session, celebrating every milestone—big and small—with our kids. And to our community, thank you for supporting the work we do to help children grow, move, communicate, and thrive.

Wishing everyone a holiday filled with joy, rest, and moments that remind you what truly matters. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Pediatric Therapy Associates.

Gross motor skills — like crawling, walking, jumping, and climbing — help children explore their world and gain independence.

At Pediatric Therapy Associates, our pediatric physical therapists use play-based, purposeful movement to strengthen these important skills. From balance and coordination to posture and endurance, we help every child build the foundation for confident movement — one step, jump, and giggle at a time.

October is National Physical Therapy Month!

Around here, therapy looks a lot like play — because movement, fun, and function go hand-in-hand!

We’re celebrating the incredible kids who work so hard in therapy every day — and the dedicated physical therapists who help them grow stronger, braver, and more confident with each step. From first steps to big leaps, our PT team is here to help every child reach their fullest potential through movement, play, and encouragement.

Feeding therapy—it’s about more than just eating! 🥄

For some children, mealtimes can be stressful—whether it’s difficulty chewing, swallowing, transitioning to new textures, or managing picky eating. That’s where our speech-language pathologists come in.

Through a mix of play, skill-building, and parent coaching, we help children:
✅ Develop safe chewing and swallowing
✅ Explore new tastes and textures
✅ Build positive mealtime routines

Every child deserves to feel confident and successful at the table—and we’re here to support families every step of the way!

Let’s talk about torticollis...

Torticollis is when a baby’s head tilts to one side due to tight neck muscles. You might notice your little one always turning their head the same way, preferring to look in one direction, or even developing a flat spot.

The good news? With early intervention and pediatric physical therapy, torticollis can often be corrected! Through gentle stretches, positioning techniques, and play-based activities, we help babies gain strength, improve range of motion, and reach those important milestones.

If you’ve noticed signs of torticollis, our team is here to help guide your child toward healthy movement and development.

🌈NATIONAL SENSORY PROCESSING AWARENESS MONTH🌈

Every child experiences the world through their senses — sight, sound, touch, taste, and movement. For children with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), those everyday experiences can sometimes feel overwhelming or confusing.

Some children may seek out more movement, crave certain textures, or struggle with loud sounds and bright lights. Others may avoid certain sensations altogether.

At our clinic, we help children with SPD build the skills they need to feel more comfortable, confident, and successful in their daily lives. Through play-based therapy, we guide them in exploring their senses in safe and supportive ways.

If you’ve noticed your child having big reactions to things like clothing textures, noisy environments, or changes in routine, you’re not alone — and support is available.
