A big THANK YOU to everyone who came to our NCPA Membership Drive!
We’re so grateful for your support and excited about what’s ahead. It was awesome seeing so many of you stop by to learn more about NCPA and all the amazing benefits that come with membership! P1 Liaison applications were sent out today, we can’t wait to meet you during interviews!

If you weren’t able to make it to the drive, no worries! We’ll be posting QR codes in the classroom with info about our officers and membership costs, so you can still learn more and get connected!

NCPA had the privilege of speaking to the incoming P1 Cohort this afternoon! We are so excited to have them on campus with us and cannot wait to send out our P1 liaison applications! It is going to be a great year at HUCOP! 💊🥼🦬

NCPA was honored to welcome Jordan Simpson, State Specialist for the Diabetes Prevention Program, and Rachel Spurr, State Specialist for Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support. They shared what their roles entail within the diabetes care team, valuable information about the DPP and DSMES programs, and what we can do to get started in the field! We are looking so thankful they took time from their day to come and speak to us!

Over the past month, NCPA has been collecting socks for His House in Searcy, a local organization that supports people in need within our community. Thanks to everyone who donated, we were able to gather a great collection of new socks. This week, our officers took all of the donations over to the His House donation center. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Our NCPA chapter had the privilege of attending the Arkansas Pharmacists Association’s UAMS roundtable social event. This opportunity allowed us to connect with local community pharmacists and business owners, gain insights into the profession, innovative practices, and business strategies. A big thank you to UAMS for hosting us!

Dr. Blake Torres and Dr. Madison Schuller visited NCPA HUCOP today to share their journey into pharmacy ownership and inspire us with the possibilities for our own future. They provided an open forum for students to ask any questions about ownership, answering transparently and thoughtfully. We are incredibly grateful for their time and willingness to share their insights.

NCPA was honored to welcome Dr. Andrea Brown from Walmart Pharmacy as our guest speaker yesterday. She offered invaluable insights into the diverse career opportunities at Walmart Pharmacy, including residency programs, non-traditional roles, and management positions, all while highlighting the benefits and rewarding experiences she’s encountered throughout her career. We extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Andrea Brown for sharing her expertise and experiences with us at our general meeting!

NCPA is excited to announce a community sock drive, running from February 17th to March 17th. There will be a collection bin in each classroom, and our goal is to fill them to the brim! Let’s make a difference together!

Yesterday, our Executive Committee and members had the privilege of attending Arkansas Pharmacists Association Legislative Reception. This event provided an invaluable opportunity to connect and collaborate with fellow pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and legislators, all while advocating for important issues that shape the future of the pharmacy profession. A sincere thank you to the Arkansas Pharmacists Association for having us!

NCPA was honored to welcome Ashlee Dunn, Talent Acquisition at CVS Health, and Ashley Ellis, PharmD, District Leader at CVS Health. They spoke about the many services CVS offers, the benefits of becoming an intern at CVS, and how pharmacy students can get involved in various programs specifically designed for them. We are very grateful that they took the time out of their busy schedules to speak with us!

Today, HUCOP hosted its annual awards ceremony, where we had the privilege of honoring some of our exceptional members. Ethan Pell was recognized as Executive Committee Member of the Year. Maddie Mouton was awarded Member of the Year for the Class of 2024D. DeAnna Carter earned Member of the Year for the Class of 2025. Isaiah Harris was named Member of the Year for the Class of 2026, and Avery Walker received Member of the Year for the Class of 2027. We take immense pride in our members and are thrilled to celebrate those who have truly stood out this year. We eagerly anticipate the continued success and growth of NCPA in the years to come.
