Getting ready for the Kentucky Derby this coming weekend! Some of our residents joined Brandi today to get creative in decorating their hats đź‘’ Several residents had a great time visiting & making wonderful derby hats.

All the hats turned out so beautifully and our ladies were happy to show them!

Our residents enjoyed singing songs of the past. Singing familiar songs evokes strong positive memories, improves mood, and lowers blood pressure by stimulating cognitive recall.
Alena sang songs that caused residents to remember and sing along.
Happy hour and a little music makes for an enjoyable evening.

Get your hands dirty by planting seeds, flowers, or vegetables in your garden, containers, or raised beds for National gardening day.
Wanda, Helen, Eileen, Ann and a couple staff decorated their own flower pots and then planted a variety of succulents.
Succulents are plants with thick, fleshy parts (leaves, stems, or roots) adapted to store water, allowing them to thrive in arid conditions with infrequent watering, making them popular, low-maintenance houseplants.
Whether the weather outside is dreary you can still enjoy gardening.

Intergenerational fun and laughter creates meaningful connections and fun memories
Neawanna was honored to host the junior high students from the East Side Prep School just outside of Seattle. They came and helped residents with gratitude flowers, sharing stories and enjoying time together. Everyone had a great time with learning about each other, lots of laughs and being creative.

Happy Easter. Easter is a time to get together with friends and family. A time to celebrate traditions, laugh and enjoy creativity.
Our residents enjoyed an afternoon filled with fun, decorating cupcakes and dying eggs. Fun and laughter filled the dining room with Gio and Alauna helping the residents be creative. Gio enjoyed helping our residents make cupcake Easter baskets. Those residents that chose to not make baskets colored eggs. Being creative can sometimes be messy but that is part of the fun.

Baby face, you got the cutest little baby face. Kelsey was part of the Neawanna team and her mom is one of our residents, so everyone gets to enjoy watching Charlie grow. Eileen and Jan were a few of the residents that got their baby fix. All of our residents love spending time with babies. Thank you Kelsey for sharing the joy of baby time.
