And just like that, the goodbye tour comes to an end 🥹🥲
4+years ago I moved to Seattle with a few suitcases and my mission was to enhance the health of the community by providing kind, compassionate care to each patient I encountered. In the healthcare world that is often cold, bitter, and untrusting, I wanted to provide something vital to healing — trust and safety. I had the privilege of helping hundreds of people through their chronic health issues and I had so much fun building relationships with my patients, I knew each on one on a personal level.
To my patients,
I am deeply grateful for the time we had together and want to thank you for trusting me to be a part of your health journey 💖 I saw SO many transformations and it truly was inspiring to see the changes that can take place when the body has the ability to heal. You have also helped me heal in many ways. Going through school I often struggled wondering if people would seek out a female woman of color to be their chiropractor in a white male dominant profession… and when I got here, I found that my background was often the reason people sought me out. My doubts quickly disappeared because I was shown time and time again that that who I am is enough💛
While I take a step back to explore my next chapter, I will always hold this time close to my heart 🥰 May this be a reminder that it is okay to slow down and listen to yourself as well.
In love and gratitude,
Dr. Van
