Sometimes I fall into the trap of ‘compare and despair’, feeling like everyone my age has it all figured out while I’m still piecing things together.

But social media is fake. Comparing our full, messy lives to the curated 0.01% others choose to share isn’t just unhelpful, it’s harmful. ❤️

There was once a time I never could’ve imagined not drinking on a long holiday weekend with friends. I’d be the first to suggest stopping by the liquor store to stock up on wine and liquor, and I remember those weekends would always end with me feeling anxious and exhausted instead of fulfilled and rejuvenated.

There’s nothing quite like being fully present with friends, having the energy to hike, cold plunge, wake up early, and truly soak in the beauty of where you are.

This weekend felt like a deep exhale—one of those experiences that reminds you how good it feels to be fully alive.

I hope your long weekend left you feeling refreshed, inspired, and deeply at home within yourself.

This trend is hitting me hard.

There was a time when I dreamed of being where I am today. The younger me was terrified—afraid she’d never get sober, never heal her relationship with food, never feel at home in her own skin.

But deep down, she also knew it wouldn’t always be that way.

Today, I’m giving that girl the biggest hug and reminding her: We made it. 💛

Ever tried to embrace an alcohol-free lifestyle while still hanging out in the same spaces, doing the same things, with the same people?

For some, it works. For many, it doesn’t.

The key? Intentional spaces & community. Surrounding yourself with people who share your goals makes all the difference—it turns the journey from white-knuckling your way through social situations to actually enjoying them.

That’s why I’m co-hosting a Galentine’s Mocktail Happy Hour alongside some other incredible women in this space! This is a fun, alcohol-free gathering where we can connect, create, and sip on something delicious—together. Plus, you’ll have a chance to show off your own mocktail creation and potentially win a fun prize! 🥹

If you want to join, comment “RSVP” and I’ll DM you the invite! Let’s shake things up (literally). 😉

I’ve been hesitant to share this because the ‘1g of protein per pound of body weight’ trend is EVERYWHERE right now. But after trying it for 6 months, I realized that approach just didn’t work for me.

Many of the people promoting this method spend HOURS in the gym every day—something I don’t have time for. While it works for their genetics and lifestyle, my body ended up feeling inflamed and puffy, despite pushing myself with heavy lifting, 15,000 steps, and forced meals in order to reach my protein goal.

As much as we’d all love a magic, one-size-fits-all answer to how our bodies work, the truth is: it’s not that simple. In this season of my life, my body thrives on 30g of protein per meal, walking daily, and a mix of strength training + pilates 3-4x a week. But that could change next month or next year. What works for someone else may not be right for you, and that’s okay. It’s all about finding what truly supports your body at this moment. ❤️

Traveling and staying alcohol-free can definitely be a challenge, especially when tequila, rum, wine, and vodka are being offered at every turn. Even when I was out at restaurants and said “no,” it was still insisted upon.

But honestly, I probably wouldn’t have felt confident going to Cabo earlier on in my alcohol-free journey. I’ve been practicing for over 2 years now, and I’ve learned that taking care of my sobriety means going into environments that support my goals.

This trip, I had my strategies in place: I made sure to have a sober buddy, played the tape forward, kept alcohol-free options on hand, and planned activities that weren’t centered around drinking. I also stayed hydrated and nourished, which made all the difference!

One moment that stood out was overhearing a girl here talking about how she had planned to do Dry January—but gave in on January 1st because of free tequila shots. It’s a reminder that you need to protect your sobriety and be mindful of the environments you’re in.

If I can do it, so can you. Stay strong, stay focused, and make choices that align with your goals! ❤️

Every year, I choose a word to guide me—a word that sets the tone, inspires my actions, and shapes my intentions. In 2025, that word is curiosity.

This year, I’m committed to embracing a curious mindset in all aspects of my life. Instead of jumping to conclusions or holding on to assumptions, I’m choosing to ask more questions, explore new ideas, and remain open to the lessons each day brings. Curiosity invites growth, deepens understanding, and encourages me to step outside my comfort zone, whether that’s in my health, relationships, or career.

Curiosity reminds me that there’s always more to discover—about the world, others, and even myself. It keeps me engaged, present, and always learning.

Some questions I’ll be asking myself this year:

How can I show up with more openness and less judgment?
What new experiences or habits can I try to expand my perspective?
How can I create more space for wonder and exploration in my daily life?
2025 is all about being guided by curiosity. To explore more. To question, to learn, and to grow with an open heart and mind. I’m excited for what this year holds and ready to embrace the unknown. 🌟

The holidays can bring up so many different emotions, especially when we’re navigating new paths—whether that’s a sober Christmas, unexpected challenges, or simply feeling a little out of sync with the season.

Wherever you find yourself today, please remember to be gentle with your heart. There’s no right or wrong way to experience this time of year. Your journey is unique, and showing yourself love, patience, and grace is the most important thing you can do.

If today feels tough, it’s okay. If you’re proud of how far you’ve come, celebrate that too. You’re doing enough. ❤️

Take a deep breath, and know that you are worthy of rest, healing, and all the kindness you give to others. 💫
