This is the second post to follow up the post from earlier this week about being proactive about your health. I had taken me months to be able to even discuss this topics out loud.
After a lot of selfish anger initially, followed by being completely terrified I was going to die in my sleep, crossing the street, or with exercise, I started to have a lot of conversations
Conversations with , , ,my family, my cardiologist and I also did a lot of research and of course A LOT of for management of anxiety I was having
Come to find out this was not a lifestyle issue but was 100% genetic. Genetics mean testing your kids as well and finding out my son carries the same genetic issue was the MOST upsetting of all.
After working through the mental part of all this, I started to remember and focus on why I had done the test in the first place. PREVENTION AND KNOWLEDGE
I was now able to help my kiddo as well at age 16 instead of him suddenly dropping dead at a young age when everyone might be saying “but he was so healthy”
We are more conscious about ALL things now. Working with , for functional medicine, for guidance, , , and cardiology.
Unfortunately right now there is nothing to change or help what we have genetically been given as this is predetermined by age 5, BUT we know that all the choices we make moving forward can help many other aspects of health physically, mentally and emotionally AND we get to do it together which has been amazing.
Once again people, there is a lot of things out there that you can be proactive about. For that $125 test that my previous P*P would order, Rowyn and I now know how to make sure we both live long healthy lives. Understanding illness and disease BEFORE you actually get sick. Imagine that!! 🤪
Read, ask questions, find people the WILL HELP and listen to you. Let’s try to prevent these things before they rear their ugly heads🩷🤗💜
