The Sports Institute at UW Medicine

The Sports Institute at UW Medicine We work to expand participation and safety in sports. We also know that the sports and activities we love have risks.

We believe that sports make a lasting, positive contribution to each participant’s physical, mental, social and emotional health. As an international education, advocacy and research organization established through one of the world’s leading medical and research centers, we are devoted to helping people pursue an active lifestyle while providing tools to keep them safe and to speed healing after illness or injury. The work of our Institute helps shape the best practices for safety across all sports and for participants worldwide.
