i used to think exercise wasn’t “productive” if i wasn’t left feeling like i “pushed myself to my limits”. definitely something that stuck with me after being an athlete for most of my life😅

but, i slowly realized this made me loathe exercise. or, at the very least, felt like a chore.

so much of social media is “do this, not that”. what if we changed the narrative to: “do what fills YOUR cup and looks/ feels healthy (physically, mentally, socially, financially, etc) to YOU”.

my dog walks have been such a great form of movement for me during this season. hanging with dogs, enjoying the weather, light walking, and sometimes listening to a fun podcast.

abbey, can you show me intuitive eating in 5 pictures?🫐🥐☕️

1.craving a sweet pastry and fruit for breakfast
2.goes to nearby bakery and orders the blueberry pinwheel 🤤
3.first bite taking in all the flavors of the syrup, flakiness of the pastry, and the freshness of the blueberries
4.feeling so happy i ate this for breakfast and satisfed that craving
5.soul leaves my body because the food was so yummy and satisfying

intuitive eating has enriched my life in so many ways.

eating the foods you want and enjoy >> always thinking about or stressed with food

Is sugar addictive? How many times have you heard this idea? Where did “sugar is as addictive as drugs” come from? How do I stop binging on sugar? We’ll chat about all of this today.

a bagel can be a source of carbs, made as a sandwich, just cream cheese, plain or fun flavors, and eaten at any time of the day. it may be a fear food, off limits, or full of guilt.

or it can be just a bagel.

placing moral values on food, such as “good or bad”, translates those feelings towards ourselves.

food neutrality helps us view food all on the same level. some foods are more nutritious than others, while some are more enjoyable. it’s okay to include both in your day. it’s okay if you mainly choose enjoyable foods.

DM me “neutrality” if you are ready to enjoy food without second guessing if it’s “good” or “right”.
